this is a perfect sweater coat. heavy enough for cold, good looking enough for anything i'm wearing. NO ITCH FACTOR and that's a big deal w vintage.
Necessity is the mother of invention.
Working at an office job, I was required to dress up daily. I felt so uninspired by the offerings at the mall and traditional retail stores. Modern dress pants and blouses didn't fit with my personal style and I was bummed to spend so much money on things I didn't even want to wear. So, I started searching for great vintage pieces to give my outfits personality and one of a kind flair. I figured there has to be other ladies like me out there. Women who wanted unique, ready to wear, vintage pieces at affordable prices. And thus you have StyleNarkVintage!
Most of the items in this shop have been found at charity based thrift stores. Other things come from small, local, second hand shops. I love that I can support these organizations and find amazing vintage pieces at the same time. It's so fun to find neglected items, clean them up, and offer them to a wider audience that could appreciate them. Oh the joys of the internet. Hope you find something you love. I am always up for a challenge, so let me know if you want me to hunt for something specifically for you!

Additional policies and FAQs
All garments are measured smooth, flat and relaxed unless specified. Clothing is zipped and buttoned. "Fits like" is an approximation based on modern US sizes. Vintage sizing is different from today's so please measure a garment that already fits you.
Bust/Chest: measured straight across the front, directly below the underarm seam from side seam to side seam and doubled
Sleeve Length: measured from the center of the neck to the end of the sleeve (hint: fold the garment in half for this measurement)
Shoulder to Shoulder: measure across the back from shoulder point to shoulder point (armhole seem to armhole seem)
Waist: measured from the smallest point (aka waistline) outside edge to outside edge and doubled. If garment has an elastic waist, I will give both the relaxed and stretched measurements.
Hip: measured 5"-7" below the waist and then doubled. For items with elastic, both the relaxed and stretched measurements will be given.
Length: tops/dresses-measured from the middle of the shoulder to the hem, skirts-measured from waist to hem
All era's and labeling are an approximation based on style, condition, materials, tags, country made in etc. I do my best to research garments/brands and label everything correctly. If you think there is a discrepancy with how an item is labeled please feel free to let me know. I glad accept any constructive criticism. Thanks!!
