The colors differed slightly from the image and a stain wasn't disclosed but it's in otherwise good shape

Dear Denise, thanks very much for packing it so well. We are so delighted with this fukusa cloth and we read extensively this legendary story. We are so proud to hang it in our home and it receives so much compliments. It is a beautiful piece and admire the artisan work the way it is woven with such high quality thread. Please let us know your email address and we would like to send a photo so that you can view how it looks like now. Thanks so much! It is such a joy to have business with you! Best regards, Vala

This is a beautiful bowl, really a work of art as much as a useful container.

About

Styled in Japan

At an age when many people are dreaming of retirement, I decided to start a small business, seeing it as a welcome challenge and chance to learn new and different things outside of my role as an English language educator. I invite you to accompany me on my journey of discovery as I share with you the treasures I find at markets: indigo dyed aizome fabrics, silks, traditional clothing, kimono handbags, fans, dolls, religious artefacts, wooden kashigata sweets moulds, the quirky and unusual treasures that catch my eye.

Weclome to my store where you will find a stunning array of vintage Japanese handbags and clutch purses. To complement this seletion, you will also find hand fans, fursoshiki wrapping cloths, dolls and other vintage treasures. I collect all of these items personally, mostly from temple and antique markets in the Kansai area of Japan where I live. I hope you find something you love in my store.

Payment
I accept PayPal and domestic direct bank transfer to my Australian bank account.
Shipping
I aim to choose the safest and most economical shipping method for you based on each item's weight and size, as well as value. You will find this information at the bottom of each listing. If you would prefer to change the method I have selected, please contact me for an alternative quote.

I do my best to ship within 2 business days of receiving cleared payment.

If you require your items by a particular date, please be sure to let me know in case we need to arrange expedited delivery (3- 5 days to most international destinations).

I am very happy to offer combined shipping for multiple items. In general, my shipping costs are based on shipping a single item to the furthest destination, but if the actual cost to your location works out to be significantly cheaper, I will issue a refund through PayPal.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. I recommend that you check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.
Refunds and Exchanges
In general, refunds are not given unless the item is completely misrepresented. All of my goods are vintage, so it is to be expected that they are not in 'as new' condition.

If the goods are damaged during shipping, please contact me immediately to work out a solution.
Additional policies and FAQs
I do my best to give accurate descriptions of the items based on my knowledge, judgement, and information I receive from dealers. I also try to point out any damage or wear. Please contact me if you are in doubt about any points, and I am always happy to send you extra information or photos.
