Painting -- While the World Visits My Gallery

I grew up in rural Virginia where the Tidewater meets the Piedmont, and now I live and paint in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The changing atmosphere in Virginia's distinct seasons has always been my inspiration as an artist. Most Septembers, I spend time painting on remote Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine where generations of artists have retreated to paint. Each location offers its unique light and color that drive me to paint.

I'm thrilled and confident that my Etsy gallery will be a successful venue, in addition to my actual studio, for showing my artwork. However, in the case of my Etsy gallery, my audience is pretty much the entire world.

Returns and exchange details
While shopping for artwork on the internet is convenient and gives you more options, it is not the same as seeing the artwork "in person". If upon receipt, you are not happy with your purchase, I will certainly give you a refund for the cost of the painting -- minus the shipping cost. I ask that you contact me within 14 days so that we can arrange for you to return the painting within 30 days at your expense. Once I have received the painting, I will issue a refund. Hopefully, you will be thrilled with the painting, and we won't have to bother with any of this.
If you would like for me to put a painting on hold, while you think about the purchase or save the money for a purchase, please contact me. I'd be happy to do this.
I ship small paintings within two days of purchase, and larger paintings within five days. If I should happen to be away from my studio for a rare day or two, and don't have access to the painting, I will let you know promptly when you can expect shipment.
Additional policies and FAQs
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS I would be pleased to ship to other countries. Please send me a message, and I will give you a shipping quote.

FRAMING Most of the paintings are framed and hanging in my studio. Photos of the frames are featured in each listing. If you are interested in a painting, but do not want to purchase its frame, please send me a message and I will deduct the price of the frame before you make the purchase.

MATERIALS All of my paintings are either painted on stretched linen or cotton canvas, linen glued on thin wood boards, or gessoboards -- all are archival quality materials and are specified in each listing. I use professional grade oil paints. I varnish paintings when they are thoroughly dry.
