Frequently asked questions

Vintage and antique item conditions?

Due to the age and wear and tear of vintage and antique items over the years some items may have some minor imperfections.
We always aim to include all of these in the item descriptions and photographs so please observe these closely.
We are always happy to answer any questions you have about our shop or any of the items in it so please message us if you want to tell us anything or have any questions and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Product photographs and descriptions?

Please be aware that the products colours may vary slightly in tone depending on what the settings are on each viewing device and camera. We aim to post photos as true to colour as possible but they may sometimes appear darker or lighter on screens.
We also aim to include photos of any wear on items particularly vintage and will list them in the description so please observe them closely. Any questions about any product please contact me.

Stolen/missing mail?

Buyers are responsible for providing a safe place for their package to be delivered to. Unfortunately if a package is stolen from your mail box this will be the buyers responsibility to chase up with the relevant service such as the mail carrier for your region or the police.
We ship to the address provided by you and is often tracked so we are able to see that it has been delivered.
While i fully sympathise with you for the loss im not able to send out a replacement both due to the nature of our shops items and not being liable for what happens at the delivery location. However if applicable i will contact the mail carrier to see if there is anymore information on the missing parcel (e.g left in a hidden area but no card)

Shipping to the UK and USA

Shipping to both the UK and USA are always by royal mail signed for delivery. This is to ensure both the buyer and ourselves are able to track the parcel through transit ensuring its safe arrival and allowing us to act quickly in the event of a missing parcel.

Due to popular demand we now ship selected items to the USA. These will be shipped recorded delivery, Each advert has shipping details specified due to their size and weight.
On smaller/medium items, additonal items are £3 per additional small item. To allow for shipping costs.
These items are specified in the ads.
If you are a USA customer and are interested in a item not selected please message us.
(Please allow time for a reply due to different time zones)

Why do some items shipping to the USA have higher shipping costs?

Some items outside the UK have higher shipping costs due to the size of the item, location and its protective shipping packaging. We currently opperate fixed cost shipping profiles depending on the size and weight of an item based on both research with the postal service and past experiences.
All shipping is tracked to ensure delivery and we aim to charge shipping as close as possible to its cost.
Each item has its shipping details listed in their advert so please read these details carefully. Some items may be subject to a customs charge in your country so please be aware of this when purchasing.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Some of our items now come in a gift box or bag. These are usually specified in the advert.
Please message us if you would like to know or request the item in a gift box (as some adverts may have been missed when adding this info.)
Please note some items may not be eligible for a gift box depending on size and supply.
But we will always aim to achieve this with relevant items.

Researching the items we sell.

As we list our items we always take the time to research the items we are unsure about in order to aim to be as accurate as possible about the item we are selling.
We always aim to provide the correct information based on our findings, however occasionally we can make mistakes.
We will then correct these as soon as possible.
We love customer feedback, if you find information in a listing is incorrect please feel free to message me and i will look into it and add corrections as necessary.

Customs fees if applicable of buyers outside the uk.

Under Etsy policy buyers are responsible for any applicable customs fees of their country.
Im not responsible for delays in the postal system or because of customs departments.

In the event of an item arriving damaged.

Although we are careful with our packaging and try to package our items well, accidents in the postal system beyond our control can occur and an item may become damaged.
In this event please feel free to message us so we can resolve this.
We will refund the item if you wish to, either on receiving pictures showing the damage or if you wish to return the item (see etsy's policy of this above).

Packaging and recycling.

In order to stay as friendly to the environment as we can we will sometimes send items in recycled boxes. Items will be packaged well to ensure their safety travelling but they may sometimes come in a box that contained something else previously.
