Handmade Organic Body Scrubs for Softer Skin

I originally came across body scrubs in a restaurant bathroom and really loved them. However, they were really expensive and they made my skin feel like an oil slick and I ended up having to wipe it all off. I decided to make my own and after about 50 batches, I finally got my recipe perfect. I then decided to share them with friends and family and that started my quest for sharing soft skin with others. I'm now making my rounds at local arts and craft festivals in the North Carolina area.

I know that being organic is very important to a lot of folks, so I try to keep our body scrubs as organic as we can. All of our base ingredients are USDA certified organic ingredients. The only thing that may or may not be organic is the scent and I try to mark them in the product descriptions and ingredient lists.

Our main ingredient for softer skin is coconut oil, which leaves your skin feeling silky and soft and not oily and greasy. We also use subtle scents so they don't compete with perfume or cologne. Most of the scent will be when you open the container and will leave a light scent on your skin.

The key to keeping our body scrubs fresh is keeping them in the refrigerator when not in use. It keeps the scent from fading a lot quicker. They also last a lot longer if you try to keep water out of them. I suggest only taking out of the container what you're planning on using and then putting them back in the refrigerator. Even after the scent fades, you should be able to use your body scrubs. They do last about 6 months to a few years, depending on how they're kept.
