About

I dye for you!

Welcome to my store! I am a maker: I knit, spin, sew, cook, bake and grow food in my garden. I started dyeing yarn when I could not find the right shade of yarn I was looking for and decided to sell my handdyed yarns when I could not stop playing with colour. I am close to celebrating my 8th Etsy-Anniversary.

For my store I select yarns carefully, looking for great quality in merino, silk, cashmere and Bluefaced Leicester wool. I use professional, washfast, high quality dyes and an unscented eco-friendly wool detergent. My home is smoke and pet free.

I specialize in:

*handpainted, variegated yarns where the colours flow into each other and change often
* Transitional yarns, that change colours in wide bands as you knit ( on custom request)
* self-striping yarns
*kettle-dyed yarns
*nearly solid yarns

Please contact me for custom orders or if you have any questions or comments.

I started dyeing yarn when I could not find the right shade of yarn I was looking for and decided to sell my handdyed yarns when I could not stop playing with colour. I just celebrated my 7th Etsy-Anniversary.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
You can pay me through PayPal even if you do not have an account there. Just use your credit card or you can use Direct Checkout.

Canadians can choose "other" as payment methods and I will send you an invoice in CAD.
Shipping
I am sorry to say that Canada Post is quite expensive. I try to keep shipping costs low by using lightweight poly-mailers.

For my customers in the US and Canada I offer a flat shipping rate regardless of how many skeins are purchased.

I mail expedited in Canada ( 1 to 7 business days), by airmail to the US ( 4 to 10 business days) and to the rest of the world ( 5 to 12 business days). *

Shipping is within one business day after I receive payment except for dyed-to-order yarns.

In case you are over-charged for shipping I will give you a refund. The overage can occur if you live close to me ( Hi!) or if you live outside North America and buy more than 2 skeins.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

* I just wanted to add a brief explanation about the shipping services I use:
Canada: Expedited is a commercial rate and is the cheapest option despite the name.
US: There is no longer a service to mail surface, so airmail is the cheapest rate available to me.
Everywhere Else: I could mail surface, but that service is so slow ( up to 12 weeks) that I cannot recommend it, so airmail is the best choice.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase. Please let me know if there are any problems.

I will accept returns for 1 month after purchase if you send the yarn back to me unused. I will refund the purchase price excluding shipping.

Custom Orders: Let me know what you like and I will see what I can do!

Depending on how busy I am it usually will take me just a few days to dye a Custom Order for you at no extra charge.

Thank you for your interest!
