Me introdujeron en la arcilla en 2010 cuando conocí a mi vecina y mentora, Marjorie Pittman de Catawba River Pottery. Ella me dio la bienvenida a su casa y a Pottery y nos hicimos amigos rápidamente. I was introduced to clay back in 2010 when I met my neighbor and mentor, Marjorie Pittman of Catawba River Pottery. She welcomed me into her home and Pottery and we became fast friends. We would talk clay over southern meals served on her beautiful wares. In exchange for use of her space and some local-dug Carolina clay, I cleaned up her shop and got it back into working order. She would share her clay stories and the simple shapes and functional forms of the early American Settlers as I learned to turn. My style has evolved over the years but her teachings are the inspiration and foundation of my creations today. Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
