Funky, Fun, & Functional is the name of the game here!

SunsetSideVintage began in 2008 after my move to the shores of Lake Michigan from the Detroit, MI area (which was inspiration for the first part of the shop name, SunsetSide). Vintage luggage and instant Polaroid cameras have become a niche of the shop as well as electronics and cookware. But really, nothing old and cool is off limits. The things I love most about running this shop are finding, restoring, and giving vintage treasures a new home. And, of course, meeting some very cool people here on Etsy!

Hello and thanks for visiting. Below are my shop policies. I have tried to be as thorough as possible but if you don’t see something or have any questions regarding the policies, please feel free to contact me.

MY POLICY ON FEEDBACK: I don't believe the sale is complete until you receive your item and are pleased with the experience.
So once you happily receive your item please leave me feedback. I would also like to make every sale a positive one so if you have any questions and/or issues with the item after you receive it, please contact me :)

I do expect payment within 3 days, at the latest, if you are paying via Paypal If payment is not received within the above mentioned time frames, unless otherwise arranged, I will cancel the sale.
Shipping
**INSURANCE AND TRACKING ARE INCLUDED FOR ALL ITEMS (unless otherwise noted in the item description). Insurance is ALWAYS offered but if it is not purchased, your item is not covered in case of loss or damage**

Shipping costs are based on U.S. Postal Service shipping rates. If you would like your item shipped using another carrier, please contact me for a revised shipping quote.

At any time, please contact me for a custom shipping quote (Including outside of the United State - I will ship Worldwide!).

Periodically, I will offer free shipping on an item when purchased with another item in my shop. If two or more items are purchased that have this offer, combined shipping savings will be refunded.

Within the item’s listing I do supply a flat rate shipping cost to buyers living in the United States. But given your distance from me, I may be able to give you a better price than even the flat rate I provide in the listing (although I do try to provide a fair price for shipping across the U.S. this is ultimately a difficult task)!! I do ship worldwide so if you live outside of the United States please contact me for a shipping quote. Also, I am happy to provide a combined shipping cost if you are interested in more than one item.


- Insurance and Confirmation/Tracking: Confirmation/Tracking numbers and insurance will be included for ALL purchases, unless otherwise noted in item description, to allow you to track the item during shipping and to protect your purchase against loss or damage. After the item has shipped, I will send you a message via convo with the tracking and insurance numbers.


- Shipping Address: If your PayPal address and Etsy address are different, let me know right away which address is correct for shipping. Otherwise, I will send you a message asking you to confirm your shipping address if the two do not match. If you would like your item shipped to an address other than your PayPal/Etsy address please let me know that as well so that I can make proper shipping arrangements. I try to ‘pull the trigger’ pretty quickly on shipping items (within 24 hours after payment has cleared). So, please please contact me prior to paying for your item with the alternate shipping address so that I have it on file before I pack and ship your item.

- Shipping Method and Timelines: I always try to ship items within 24 hours of payment clearing. Most items will ship via United States Post Office (USPS) usually via 1st Class, Priority, or Parcel Post. I do try to ship the least expensive method (which is not always the quickest method) so please let me know if you require expedited shipping for your item and I will provide you with a custom shipping quote. If shipping method is different than USPS, I will let you know that in the message I send once the item has shipped.

** IMPORTANT ** IF THE ACTUAL SHIPPING COST IS LESS THAN QUOTED BY $1 (USD) OR MORE, I WILL ALWAYS REFUND THE COST DIFFERENCE VIA THE METHOD THAT YOU ORIGINALLY USED TO PAY.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns are only accepted within 3 days of receiving the item and only if the item has been completely misrepresented in the listing description (I try like crazy to not let this happen!). Shipping charges are non-refundable and return shipping is to be paid by buyer. Insurance will always be added/offered to protect your purchase against loss or damage unless otherwise noted in the item description. If an item is returned to me due to failure on the buyers behalf to track or pickup the item, a refund will not be issued but the buyer will be given the opportunity to pay to have the item shipped to them again.

CLEANING & TESTING:
Many of the items I sell come to me needing a bit of love and some do have that lovely vintage smell even after cleaning. I clean and test all items to the best of my ability. If my ability wasn’t good enough, I’ll let you know of any imperfections/vintage condition in the item’s description.
