Snapshots taken by amateur photographers often result in unexpected details, double exposures, unintended cropping, tilted horizons or the shadow of the photographer. Some of the unplanned compositions can be strikingly beautiful and sophisticated. Or surprisingly funny!

As you browse through our shop, you'll start to see patterns in poses and facial expressions. People liked to hide in the bushes, lean on one another's shoulders and perch on rocks. Vintage photos often feature pride of ownership. Men, women and children pose on cars, front porches and model their new clothes. Backgrounds are often as interesting as the subjects. Many of the towns and cities were no more than an empty street with telephone poles in the distance. These elements are what make viewing and collecting vintage photos so interesting and just plain fun!

Need a gift idea? Take a vintage snapshot, scan it and have it printed on a t-shirt, coffee mug, tote bag….the sky's the limit! You'll find many sites on the internet that provide this service; major chain drugstores, office supply stores or companies that specialize in printing tees, coffee mugs, postage stamps, etc.

Or chose a pretty frame and add a vintage photo from the Victorian era. This makes a lovely gift for someone who appreciates the past. And don't forget the Roaring Twenties! Flapper fashions are fabulous.

Photos of classic and antique cars are great for the guys! They might remind him of the car Grandad used to drive.

Each photo is packaged in an individual, acid-free sleeve that's larger than the photo. A minimum of tape is used. This allows for easy removal of the photo. As a collector, I know it's no fun trying to remove a fragile, valuable photo from an envelope with lots of tape.

We are not responsible for lost or damaged photos. Insurance and Priority Mail are available on request.
