Hello! I’m Samuel, the proud owner of SunshineMatters. As a first-generation American with Colombian roots, I’ve always been inspired by the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our world.
Currently, I serve active duty overseas with the United States Coast Guard. This experience has not only instilled in me a strong sense of discipline and dedication but also a deep appreciation for the diverse perspectives that shape our global community.
Back home, I am the primary financial supporter for my parents. My mother, a brave and resilient woman living with epilepsy, has been a constant source of inspiration for me.
Education is also a significant part of my life. I am currently dual-enrolled in university, pursuing an Arabic Language & Middle East Studies undergraduate certificate and an Associate in Arts in Early Childhood Care & Education.
Now, let me introduce you to Ahlem, my fiancé and the other half of SunshineMatters.
Hello, welcome to SunshineMatters! I’m Ahlem, an Algerian artist with a passion for all things creative. Ever since I was 4 years old, I’ve been fascinated by the transformative power of makeup. My artistic journey began with drawing and modeling with dough and clay, and over the years, I’ve expanded my skills to include painting. When I’m not creating art or transforming faces with makeup, you can find me immersed in the world of crime and mystery movies and TV shows. I also have a soft spot for zombies and horror movies!
Before embarking on this artistic journey, I worked at a small private kindergarten owned by my mom. The experience of working with children, their innocence, and their creativity has greatly influenced my work and continues to inspire me every day.
