A Shop Born from Love
Our shop was born from a deep love for pets and a sincere appreciation for the special emotional bond between pets and their families. To us, pets are never just animals — they are beloved companions, loyal friends, and irreplaceable members of the family.
If I were to explain why I love pets so much, I would have to begin with the first Golden Retriever owned by our neighbor when I was a child.
When I was young, my younger brother, sister, and I all adored dogs, but our parents did not allow us to keep one at the time. So instead, we would spend time playing with our neighbor’s Golden Retriever, running around together and sharing many carefree moments. Even then, we already treated that dog like a dear friend, caring for it and loving it in the purest way.
As we grew older, my younger brother gradually brought home two stray dogs, and our family decided to take them in. We named them Benz and Audi. Perhaps my brother has always shared a special connection with animals, because stray dogs seemed to find their way home with him naturally.
They were incredibly intuitive and affectionate. Every day around the time we got out of school, they would wait for us at the corner near our home, ready to welcome us back. Whenever we went out to play, they would follow along, staying by our side and protecting us like little guardians.
We lived with them for about four or five years. Then one day, Benz suddenly disappeared. We were heartbroken and searched many times, but never found him. Later, my grandmother told us that dogs sometimes seem to sense when their lives are nearing the end, especially those that have once lived as strays. She said they may choose to leave quietly because they do not want to become a burden to their owners. Not long after that, Audi also left us. That period became one of the darkest memories of my childhood for my siblings and me. We were devastated for a very long time and found it hard to recover from the loss.
For many years after that, we did not adopt or rescue any more dogs. Then, on September 20, 2019, we met Lubao. She was a tiny Toy Poodle given to us by my mother’s friend. When we first met her, she was only one month old. From that moment on, Lubao became part of our family — like a little sister to us.
She is a sweet and lively little girl, full of energy and especially good at being affectionate. When I was studying in the UK, every time I came home during school breaks, she would cling only to me, as if she knew I would be leaving again soon. She expressed her love in the most direct and innocent way, and through her, our whole family came to understand even more deeply how real and gentle a pet’s love can be. Because we all loved her so much, she lived a very happy life.
Later, my brother rescued a tiny kitten named Huahua. At that time, she was so weak that she almost did not survive. What astonished all of us was that Lubao ended up helping keep her alive. Even though Lubao had never given birth, the kitten suckled from her, and at first there was only blood, but eventually milk began to come. Incredibly, Huahua survived. We were all shocked and deeply moved. Perhaps that was the power of love. Sometimes, different lives truly can save one another through kindness and companionship.
And that is exactly the meaning behind why I created SuperDrift.
I wanted to build a life around something I truly love, and I wanted to turn my love for pets into something tangible, heartfelt, and meaningful. Through this shop, I hope to pour my care, understanding, and affection for pets into every piece I create, so that more pets and the people who love them can feel that love in a real and lasting way.
