Announcement   ATTENTION: To our customers: We are skipping a week shipping via FedEx due to my daughter LLuvia taking a week vacation. So instead of this next box going the 25th it will be leaving Sept 1st. We are sorry about this delay. Please be patient.

All orders of Sterling Silver until you are Established as a Customer will be $100 or less. If you place an order for more we will cancel that and ask you to place an order for $100 or less if we are able to fulfill it or until Established.

All Packages go via FedEx to the US first in one consoladated box then USPS to your home for EVERYONE. This of course is much faster, but it also costs more. I am trying to figure out how to offer this where we can cover the costs. So please bear with us while we learn how we can do this. We will ship at least once a week (sometimes possibly twice a week) a large box via FEDEX to the US of our customers packages. My daughter will ship these via US Mail once she receives them. Obviously this costs us more.

You will have tracking once your package is processed in the USA, while it is traveling via FedEx you will NOT, this is about 5 days after it leaves here. Be patient, we all do our best to make it go as fast as possible. But I am not the mail service and cannot control them. Getting mad, yelling, throwing a fit, is counter productive. Believe me, we want you to get your items as fast as possible. If your package did not make the Thursday breakoff for the FedEx shipment, unfortunately, it will wait until the next Thursday UNLESS there is enough volume to ship another box (which does not happen often). If we are making your items it can take more time and things can happen. We sometimes run out of material, solder, or gas even, someone can get sick, we plan really well usually but we are human. We are not a factory, but we are a small workshop that helps young women have a skills and a job. So we have a limited amount of women who can do your particular custom job. Rushing us won't make your items better, if you want them well done, let us work as fast as we can ourselves. We love to please our customers! We love all of our Customers!

Copper Blanks, Brass Blanks, Nickel Silver Blanks, Sterling Silver, Aluminum Blanks, Bronze Blanks, Soldering Supplies, Bezel Wire, Gunmetal Wire. Enameling Shapes and Forms Galore! We make all of these by hand, we do not outsource our work! We sell all kinds of things! We are hoping to grow our little shop to have all kinds of findings, metal shapes, and other interesting things for Crafty Divas out there! Help us support Divas in Mexico build a better life! We are a small workshop that helps ladies here by teaching them about business, crafts, art, and life in general. We thank you for checking us out! We really *DO* care about our customers and take our work very seriously.

We in the past were able to have a built up inventory. We have about 50% of our items premade and in inventory, but most orders have items that we do not have premade and we have to make them up for you. We make up a list on a daily basis to do, and try to finish them all, but it is not always possible. We have alot of orders. So it is taking us approx 4 to 6 days to fill orders at this moment. It can take longer, be patient, as most know, your package is worth the wait. We want to get the items to you as fast as possible. We do our best, please be patient.

If you requested holes punched or drilled, or additional polishing, or a different metal than shown please be patient, we do these extra things as fast as possible. It can take 1 to 4 days, and in some cases (when soldering and creating rings, or other finished items) longer (1 week or 2 weeks). Please convo us and we can give you updates. Our workload is pretty heavy at times!

Some info about our metal forms:
We can "Mostly" cut out any of our shapes from 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 and 26 gauge metals, we use Pure 100% copper, brass, and bronze, nickel silver, aluminum and with consideration Sterling Silver. If the item has very small cuts it would have to be 20 gauge and thinner. Please convo us for more info or concerns.

Our Metal Shapes are cut out in our small Metal Workshop here in Mexico. Our Metal Sheet is 1st Grade for these shapes. The Metal is often annealed, cut, then formed on a 80, 100 & 120 Ton Press, it is amazing to see these machines at work. You can see one at work here

These figures and forms can be filed, polished, stamped, soldered, drilled, textured, fused, bent, and our Copper Shapes Enameled and used any way you see fit. We de-bur these and polish some when possible. Of course these are not finished completely and that is left up to you. These are called "Blanks" in the jewelry trade, these are not finished ready to go items. If you want the item completely finished please convo us for a quote. We are happy to help!

About

Community Workshop to help young women without options.

I started this workshop 10+ years ago to help young women in the little village I live in. I built the workshop, had some meager tools. We slowly have obtained more items and now have some nice equipment (Thanks in part to Jamie King who has donated time and items to our tiny workshop!). They learn a trade, make a living, and to help strengthen their families and keep them from going to the US illegally, we also help others in the village that are not able to work or provide for themselves. It didn't take much for it to get started, the need was there, the desire to work hard too. So slowly we began working together and now it has grown. We now have 20 people total, 15 young women and 5 men. I don't have to push them to do anything, they are all more than willing to work and are so very grateful for the opportunity to learn.

Some of the girls have built humble homes. For this small village it is very unusual for a woman to make such a good living. Many are the sole support of their extended homes. Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters, cousins, all live together and help each other. Our village is mostly agriculture, so for women there is basically nothing to do except get married and have babies. These girls have all learned they can control their lives and make decisions that are different than their parents. They don't have luxuries, but most are now plugged in to the internet (because of donated laptops from Teri!) and they are learning about the world which before would not have happened. We have recently started giving away food bags with enough food to last them a week! We give these to people are cannot work or provide for themselves.

We started with lampwork beads being that was my own knowledge. I learned to Enamel and passed that on to the girls, then a friend opened a door for us to make metal blanks! Which is now our main product! We work with Copper, Brass, Bronze, Nickel Silver and Sterling Silver, Aluminum. We also do lost wax casting. We have learned so much together, most I have never done before. It is so much fun to learn new things! We also do some production work for a well known designer in Chicago. We all work hard and we hope all our customers enjoy our products! They are so proud of all the skills they learn. What I don't know or can't teach them I look for someone who can show them. They have learned so much it is incredible!

Thank you! Kind Regards, Sincerely Laura & the Girls

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
We only accept Paypal, if you have to pay by check please convo us.
Shipping
We ship from Mexico by FedEx in a community box of all our customers packages, then these items are put into the USPS system. This has improved the time it takes to reach the US quite a bit. There is no tracking while it is going by FedEx but once it reaches the US it will be trackable through USPS.

Most packages arrive in approx. 10 to 15 business days because of the US Customs System or your own countries Customs. We have no control over the US Customs System or the Mail. Unfortunately, the US Customs is particularly slow on processing packages sent from Mexico. To Europe and other Countries it can take longer. But be assured, your package will get to you.

The girls need all of our customers - please keep supporting us! HUGS
Refunds and Exchanges
Please check out our pictures very well, we try very hard to be accurate due to the fact that we are in Mexico. Items can be returned but it isn't super simple. You need to contact first if you are desiring to return something.

Your refund will be minus shipping to you unless we make a mistake ourselves, which is very possible, no one is perfect. We appreciate your support very much!
Additional policies and FAQs
