My newest patinas, developed to be a little more durable and less likely to flake or chip:

ANCIENT RELIC - designed to blend with my Melted Silver components, this patina has a deep oxidized based with a glaze or wash of silverleaf.
WABI-SABI - a Japanese phrase that roughly translates as "imperfect beauty". This patina starts with deeply oxidized copper, onto which layers of colors that range from yellow/green to rust to near white, with a whitewash effect. The overall look is of neutral tones, and this patina blends well with many of the colors found in nature and with most metals.
RIVER RUN - greens and blue-green blended on oxidized copper, then polished to highlight some of the copper, it brings to mind floating downstream with the sun glinting through leaves and blue sky onto moss covered rocks and crystal clear spring water.
COOKIES N CREAM - a deep oxidized brown base, with creamy white splashed about, polished to highlight some of the bright copper - this one is yummy!
DARK RAINBOW - splashes of rainbow colors on dark oxidized copper
LOVE NOTES - ruby, garnet and topaz on oxidized copper, polished to bring out bright copper highlights - looks like a Victorian Valentine.
SONORA SUNRISE - Turquoise and Red Rock on deep brown oxidized copper - very Southwest!
JELLYROLL - Blueberry, blackberry, raspberry jam - yummy! Purples and blues on oxidized copper with a fine sugar dusting on top.

TRADITIONAL PATINAS ARE A VARIABLE SURFACE TREATMENT - they are somewhat delicate and not meant for everyday wear. Although I seal them to protect, they should not be exposed to water or jewelry cleaning solutions or rough treatment. Patinas are basically like rust - they are created on the surface of metal by chemical treatments - and they can chip or flake off even though they are sealed. If you must clean them, wipe carefully with a damp cloth. You can also periodically re-apply a semi-gloss spray lacquer and/or microcrystalline wax to your pieces to continue to protect the finishes.
My hand applied Traditional Patinas:
ANTIQUE OXIDIZED - warm to deep brown tones.
FLAME - warm copper that sometimes has hints of red, orange, blue or silver - each piece is unique. Created by applying torch to metal, and quite variable - I cannot produce certain colors - the end result isn't apparent until the copper is sealed with lacquer. This is a heat patina rather than a chemical patina.
VERDIGRIS - the traditional copper patina, variable shades of green -sometimes light, sometimes darker, sometimes with a bit of blue.
TIDELINE - oxidized deep brown base, frosted with tones that vary from blue ocean to teal
DEEP FOREST - oxidized deep brown base with verdigris (green) overtones
STORM - variable tones, kinda like the weather. A deep steely blue sometimes with green-blue tones.

About as close as i get to mass production! Making a small batch of these popular components!
Some pretty hand patina pieces about to get their seal coat before heading off to their new homes! There are multiple steps and sometimes multiple days of work involved in making these components.

About

My creative life...

I've always dabbled in arts and crafts, carpentry and gardening. I'm a DIYer with a lot of creative energy. I enjoy designing and creating jewelry - but even more than that - I really love creating one of a kind components and sending them off to a new home - to become part of an another artist's creation! I have been so amazed to see some of the wonderful and unique pieces of jewelry that my customers create - it inspires me to continue growing my little shop. Some of my designs have been featured in print magazines, incorporated into jewelry artist's creations.

I also design my own line of nature-inspired jewelry and recently begun dying silk and nuno felting - a new found passion!

PLEASE NOTE HANDMADE PRODUCTION TIME: UP TO 2 WEEKS ON MADE TO ORDER ITEMS. It takes time to create these items, apply the hand finishes and then seal with multilayers to protect the finish. I truly appreciate your patience, as many of my components are handmade and it is only my two hands creating them!

COMMERCIAL ITEMS (blanks, tools, factory made findings, leather cord) Usually ship within 24 to 48 hours

I accept Paypal and credit cards. I do not accept checks or money orders. Florida residents pay 6% sales tax.

COUPON CODES- They MUST be put in during the checkout process - I cannot go back after the order is placed and refund the coupon amount.

COMBINING ORDERS - Due to the high volume of orders, it is NOT possible for me to keep track of multiple orders to one person to combine them to refund shipping.

WHOLESALE: I am not able to offer wholesale pricing. My handmade components take time to create, and I cannot mass produce them in order to reduce the price. Some commercially made items (chain, for example) may already have discounted price for purchasing in bulk.
Shipping
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Etsy has recently added wording to EU buyers pages saying that VAT is included in your purchase price. This is totally inaccurate and completely untrue. US sellers are not required to nor would have any knowledge of registering, collecting or reporting VAT. If your order requires that any tax or fees be paid, your postal service will bill you for it when your order arrives.
Shipping for US orders that contain ALL ready-to-ship (1 to 3 day) items is just $4.00 for the entire order! Place a separate order for "made to order" (1 to 2 week production time) items if you want your ready to ship items to be mailed quickly.

I ship by USPS First Class Mail Monday through Saturday. I SHIP TO THE ADDRESS LISTED ON ETSY

The shipping and handling charge you pay includes the following:
- Individual labels and bags
- Bubblewrap mailers or boxes and packing materials
- Mailing labels
- Mileage to Post Office
- Insurance

US orders over $100 will automatically be upgraded to USPS Priority Mail - no extra charge!

Orders over $250 will be shipped with "signature required".

CUSTOMS FEES, VAT TAX: For sales outside the US - Be aware you may have to pay Duty, VAT, customs or other fees as designated by your own country's import regulations. You are responsible for paying those fees. They are not part of my shipping fees and I have no control over them. Contact your postal/package carrier service to find out what the fees may be.

I WILL NOT MARK ORDERS AS "GIFTS" ON CUSTOMS FORMS, or in any way alter the actual value of the package being shipped in order to reduce or eliminate VAT/Customs Fees.

PACKING SLIPS/INVOICES: In my efforts to go down a few sizes in my carbon footprint, I do not include a packing slip or invoice with your order. If you need an invoice you can print it from your Purchases listings. But better yet, save it to your hard drive instead of printing it, and you will help save a tree, too!

LOST ITEMS: I will not be responsible for lost or stolen packages that have been scanned as delivered by the post office. If this happens the first thing you should do is check with family members and neighbors to see if it can be located. If not located then you should call your local post office - they may be able to locate it. If still unsuccessful call USPS at 1-800-222-1811
Monday - Friday 8 AM - 8:30 PM ET
Saturday 8 AM - 6 PM ET
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me by Etsy convo if you have any concerns about your order. I accept returns on most items, and refund the cost of the item upon it's return to me in it's original condition/packaging.

PLEASE NOTE that cut leather cord, wire or chain is not returnable. This is standard within the industry.

All requests for refunds must be made within 14 days of receipt of the item by convo message to seller.

Cost of original and return shipping is refunded only if an item is defective or an error was made by me.
