I made a promise to myself back in college that I would be financially independent by age 25. This meant being rid of all student loan debt and not accumulating any credit card debt. I made this decision at the age of 20 and, by the time I graduated from college at age 21, I was not even kind of close.

However, I am now 25 and can say with a joyful heart that I am completely debt free! I managed to pay off almost $30,000 dollars of student loan debt in just under 3 years, and I did it (mostly) while working for minimum wage and (mostly) without sacrificing my sanity.

The biggest difference between my pre-graduation life and my post-graduation life was simply being aware of what money was coming in and what money was going out. For the first time in my life, I managed to set (and stick to) a budget. I did it with the support of my friends and family, and a LOT of prayer. I also did it with the help of one magical spreadsheet.

The simple act of tracking my receipts and being able to see exactly how much money I had left to spend every month made the biggest difference in my financial habits. I tried Mint and other personal finance apps, but a good old Excel spreadsheet ended up being what changed my life.

I get it (believe me, I get it). Keeping track of your personal finances is hard. When you feel like you're in it alone and have no idea where to start, the task can feel overwhelming. That's why I make simple, user-friendly budgeting spreadsheets to help you survive the real world. The spreadsheets I sell are based on the one single spreadsheet that changed my life 3 years ago.

These budget worksheets have been a lifesaver to me over the past few years, and I pray they can bring some much-needed order and relief to your family as well!
