Welcome to SusanDolphinDelaney.
My shop contains an eclectic mix of classic, minimalist luxury jewelry, which is sure to fit your lifestyle. I design for the busy woman, who wants to put on her jewelry in the morning and not have to touch it until she takes it off at night. Most of my necklaces fall to mid-chest, a length guaranteed not to get in your way during the day. My earrings will never distract you when you are busy.
Many of my designs work with both for work and for casual wear.
A lifelong love of gems and minerals; metals; ceramics, glazes and glass drew me to jewelry making. I use semi-precious gems; pearls; beautiful minerals; artisan silver, brass and bronze; artisan lampwork beads; ancient, vintage, tribal and modern metal beads; glass beads and polymer clay, to create my necklaces, pendants and earrings.
Although you won’t have any reason to adjust your jewelry during the day, you may find yourself touching it for a moment of calm. I also use fascinating, timeless materials as focals. They will be fascinating to look at during "on hold" moments or in long meetings. I choose focals that will never give up all of their secrets, which will be endlessly captivating.
My work is timeless. Your daughters and granddaughters will cherish it when the time comes for them to own it.

Luxe Jewelry for the Working Woman
I have been a crafter since I was a little girl. I've done sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, quilt making and ceramics.
This shop was born in my crafter's heart. It is a natural outgrowth of my work as a scientist.
I first fell in love with science as a girl. My mom would pack me a sack lunch and give me two car tokens and I'd head off to the National Mall and spend the day in museums.
The Museum of Natural History was and is my favorite.
It was there that I first fell in love with minerals, gems, glass and ceramics.

Susan is a second generation jewelry maker who loves gems, mineral and artisan glass. She is a lifelong nerd and loves to look at the processes leading to the formation of the items she incorporates into her jewelry.
Shop policies
I create classic, elegant jewelry for busy woman. Like you, I want to put on my earrings and necklace and not have to think about them until I take them off at night.
I DO create necklaces from fascinating gemstones, minerals and artisan glass that will be good companions when you are "on hold" or in a long meeting. I choose focals that will give you endless pleasure.

Returns and exchange details
The Postmaster General has ordered the Post Office to slow down deliveries. I track every order every single day and I have seen the slowdown. So far it has been only a 3-5 day slowdown. Also, I have seen the tracking by location be replaced by "will be delivered late." I used to be able to see where your package was at any time. Dropping the location tracking is also part of the order. In the past I could message you daily as to where your package was that day. I WILL CONTINUE TO MESSAGE YOU DAILY. I WILL ALSO SIGN UP FOR USPS NOTIFICATIONS TO MY EMAIL ABOUT YOUR PACKAGE, WHICH IS GIVING ME MORE INFORMATION. For the time of the Postmaster General's order to slowdown the mail only, I am adopting the USPS policy, long in place, that an item is not lost until it is missing for 30 days.
I am very sorry to have to do this, but the Postmaster General has ordered the PO to slow down right now.
Back to the regular policies: If you decide to return an item, you must pay the shipping. You have 30 days from the day of delivery to return the item. I will issue a refund when I receive the item back.
In the case of breakage I will ask you to take photos of the shipping box as well as the damage to the item. This will help me with my future shipping practices.
Custom orders require a non-refundable 50% deposit.
For custom orders I will email you a photo of the custom item before I ship, for your approval.
There are no refunds on approved custom orders except for breakage.
Payment
Texas residents will be charged a sales tax of 8.25%. Some states require Etsy to withhold sales tax. Your order confirmation will reflect this.
Shipping
I offer FREE SHIPPING within the U.S.
I will refund HALF OF THE COST OF SHIPPING to other locations. Etsy will charge you the standard rate for USPS First Class International package and I will REFUND HALF THE COST OF SHIPPING.
Additional policies and FAQs
You are free to make a single electronic copy of a photo of any of my designs to use as wallpaper on your personal phone or personal computer. Just click on the photo and copy it to your computer.
