Very cool! I live right on the ocean and can see whales from my house, so I really appreciate this piece.

About

Quirky Statement Handmade Silver Jewelry

I have a firm life philosophy that has always stood me well. It is to take a holistic view of the world and to understand as many aspects of it as you can. This in turn allows you to take your knowledge and understanding to enhance any other area you decide to explore. Jewellery making is an art that has strong crossover with technology and science: It is the juncture at which art meets engineering. Many pieces I design and make, have to be carefully thought through to ensure the construction creates not only an aesthetic, but also a wearable item. So, although it might seem that the two areas are distinct, they are intrinsically linked.
Jewellery has been part of the material culture of human beings since we became human. Items for personal adornment have been identified from 100,000 years ago, the dawn of the human diaspora Out of Africa. I believe that jewellery was originally developed to protect and display; protect ourselves against bad things happening and to ward of ‘evil spirits’, display, to entice the opposite sex and to show fitness for procreation (display of resources/wealth). Today, jewellery has no less meaning and value. Unique and individual pieces, say to the world, this person knows who they are, they have the strength of character to choose individuality and to wear it with pride – people who choose such unique pieces make a statement that they are empowered and they have control over their choices in life – not just in jewellery. When I design and make a piece, this belief is hard wired into those designs. I want my jewellery to make the wearer feel fantastic, inspired, strong and powerful.

Hi I'm Susie Morrow and I design and handmake jewelry. The jewelry tends to be made using sterling silver and gemstones, precious and semi-precious. My background is science and my designs tend to be a little quirky and make a statement.

I love making jewellery and hopefully that shows in the finished items. My designs start their life in our workshop in the beautiful county of Northumberland in the UK and we hope that some of the energy and beauty of this place is imbued in my designs and the raw materials that I use to make our jewellery. I very much want you to enjoy my jewellery and so we make sure that what I design offers choices for both classic and contemporary tastes.

Shipping
I ship jewellery internationally and if an item is in stock I will attempt to ship the item within 3 working days.

I use the UK's Royal Mail service and always try to insure the items for the cost price. However international insurance may be costly and we will leave that to your own discretion. If you are an international buyer, please get in touch for insurance costs.

I can't accept earrings for return as they may have been worn and it's illegal in the UK to sell on pre-worn earrings.

Please also note - I ship from the UK which may mean your own country might apply customs charges to the item. This is out of my control but I have found that it rarely happens. Customs fees/duties/taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
I very much want you to be happy with your purchase. So, if there are questions or concerns please contact us and I will sort out a solution.
