From some of my customers:
Suzanne,
I received my lovely shawl yesterday and it's absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for the beyond incredible quality and extremely speedy delivery. It's for my November wedding, so I'm quite happy to have it so early to use as a color comparison for other accessories. I will definitely purchase more items from you in the future :) Take care and thanks again!

I am very happy with the items I ordered from Suzanne...they're gorgeous! I also appreciated Suzanne's communication with me...this was my first transaction with etsy and it felt very personal. Finally, I was excited to unwrap the items which had been carefully packaged in tissue paper and then taped...a very nice touch. Thanks!

About

Knitter, designer

I learned to knit as a young child and have knit off and on through the years. I went back to knitting in 2009 because I could no longer do the heavy physical work I was doing. I have a great need to make beautiful things and be productive. Knitting and wire work helped me do both. Over time I was asked about sharing the patterns for the things I make and I set out to accomplish that. It wasn't an easy task since I am still somewhat dyslexic (though it is mostly under control), it just takes me quite a bit longer.

When I started back to knitting I didn't know how to read a pattern. Taking someone elses work and copying it wasn't what I wanted anyway. I find a yarn that interests me, colors I enjoy then start with a very broad idea of what I want it to be. Scarf, sweater, fingerless gloves, shawl, cape, capelet, ect. As I knit I get short visual glimpses and try to capture what my minds eye has seen. Sometimes what has started as a scarf will end up a sweater. It's exciting for me to see how it all will unfold into a finished product. Every now and then something just doesn't work and I end up ripping out 30 or 40 hours of work. It's not unusual for me to have 2, 3, 5 projects going at one time. A couple years ago I saw the need for shawl pins and with my love of twisting wire and working with beads, I've added those to my line too. Each one is an individual work of art.

My new shop if full of coloring pages for hours of coloring enjoyment. Check it out!! https://www.etsy.com/shop/ColorMeArtStudio

Creativity is a living thing with wings and can take me anywhere, in any direction at any time!

My craft is the center of my home. Actually it takes up my livingroom, office, sewing room, family room and kitchen nook too! I've been that way for years. My creative process involves my five sences, my spirit, mind, heart and the world around me.

I live in a town where there are acres of trees and the river behind me. Wild turkeys roam the streets in my neighborhood as well as deer, raccoons, skunks (ok, not so nice if you scare them but they have adorable faces), over 50 varieties of birds, butterflies and more. Peace surrounds me here. My wish is to pass that peace on to you with every piece I make!

I thank you for the opportunity to serve you. I think communication is important and am always available to answer your questions. I want you to be happy with the item(s) you buy.
