Exceptional, unique pottery piece. Planning to use it at the top of my small theme tree. Very well made. Item exactly as pictured. Fast delivery, packaged very securely.

Besides "all things purple" being my favorite things in life, this design is so pure and beautiful, that it made me cry when I first saw it!

About

This is my attempt to make a living - doing what I love.

I started my business in about 2001 -- with a small shop in my barn -- but I live out in the middle of no-where. My most frequent visitors are all of the mice, spiders and other bugs -- that are always making my shop their new home. Now the shop is mainly for storage.

My work area -- ( to call it a studio would be a stretch ) - is down in the basement, and it is " not ready for prime time." Someday I hope to have it up where I could look out and see the beauty of the trees and pond.

I heard about ETSY from my grown children. I was so anxious to open my store.... But first - they had to teach me how to use a computer. What a challenge!

I am very happy to have found ETSY. My first sale was a piggy bank on Feb. 10, 2010, four days after I opened. I was so surprised ! ( - I love to make piggies). It is so rewarding when someone --close-by or very far away -- wants to purchase a piece of pottery that I have shaped with my own two hands. It makes me feel like a real potter!

I believe it's the journey that's important. Each day is a new adventure. I keep learning about clay and glazes and firing. And one day, I may even get the hang of this computer........ ( oops- better knock on wood - before something happens )

Thank you for looking,
Suzanne

I am a left-handed potter , and I taught myself how to throw. My first wheel was made by my dad -- it was a 3 speed with a clutch and gear shift." Stock Photo" -- This photo is from about 1996 - I'm the one in the red jacket.

Best Helper Ever -- With - Raku-pit Firing, Packing, And Especially At Shows

This was my dad. A really great guy. He built my first wheel . He helped me at shows and all of the special firings, and with all of the packing. I miss him very much.

Shipping
I will aim for a Tuesday and Friday/or Saturday shipping schedule. ( Convo me if you need your purchase sooner and I will try to accommodate you if possible)

I Ship USPS Priority -- 1-3 days - inside the US *** If you want me to ship at the lower rate of - First Class -- please convo me PRIOR to purchase so we can discuss the possibility -- First Class Mail is only available for packages weighing less than 1 lb.

The posted shipping charge is an estimate - because it covers all 50 states -- excess shipping will be refunded (after a small packing chg.)
Priority now comes with up to $100 insurance -- and tracking - included.
I like to get extra insurance on items over $100 , and signature confirmation for items over $100.

*********************************************
After a package has tracked to your residence - I can no longer be responsible.
Please convo me - prior to purchase - if you want the extra service - signature confirmation - for an extra fee.

*******************************************************

***** Outside of the US *****

*****Customs and import taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.

The posted shipping charge is an estimate -- and - it does not cover any taxes, tariffs or customs fees from your country. You may want to look into these charges before purchasing.

I usually ship first class - airmail. It is the most reasonable. (some insurance is available to selected countries for an extra fee -- no time estimate)
**** I have had good luck and fairly quick shipping with the first class so far--------

Priority is available for an extra fee- it comes with some insurance - and an estimated delivery time - and I believe a tracking number - convo me -- prior to purchase -- if this is what you want.

If the package is 4lbs. or more -- priority is the only option.

Please convo me if you want a closer shipping estimate. I'm sure that more information can result in a closer estimate.

Excess fees will be refunded - after a small packing charge-
Thank you.*****

* Purchases can also be picked up here at my "physical" shop. If this is the case, shipping charges will be reimbursed -- if necessary.

* I try to reuse and recycle shipping materials whenever it is possible--
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not happy ---please write to me--I want you to be happy with your purchase-- and I will try to work with you to resolve any issues.
Additional policies and FAQs
I take custom orders-
Custom orders require a small non-refundable deposit of 10% with a $10 minimum.

I will give a discounted price for orders of larger quantities-

I can guarantee that each piece is made by hand by me, myself and I. Almost everything is thrown on the potters wheel--backwards-- since I throw left-handed. About 2% is hand-built by me.
I can also guarantee that nothing will be perfect -- I am not a machine ------- !

I can guarantee that there is no lead in the glazes that are used for functional pottery, or for most of the banks, or holiday items. ---If there is any lead it would only be on RAKU items -- and those are not for food ------
