SwallowAndTwig's Shop Announcement

♥♥♥ Welcome Shoppers! ♥♥♥
UPDATE (January 2014): Swallow & Twig is still undergoing recreation regarding the new line. The last of the old stock is being sold as limited edition at Argyle Fine Art(1559 Barrington St.) in Halifax, NS, Canada.

In the meantime, please come back again to visit my shop. The entire look and concept of the S & T line will be changing, as well as a facelift and whole new look to my etsy shop. DATE is uncertain when the new shop will be up, but keep checking-in periodically (hopefully for Fall 2014)

I have specialized in Jewelry & Accessories for Men & Women for the last 5 years, and historically, the S & T line was composed of miniature, ready-made art to wear. Rest assured, the new concept and look of Swallow & Twig will be just as adorable, original and one-of-a-kind as before.

SwallowAndTwig's Shop Policies

Welcome

Welcome to Swallow and Twigs' shop.

My number one priority in making and selling my artwork hinges on
(1.) Quality
(2.) Customer Satisfaction.

If there is anything that you are unsatisfied with either the service or quality of my work, please don't hesitate to let me know and I will try my utmost to resolve any concerns you may have. I am always open to comments and feedback or suggestions as well!

Meanwhile, relax with a cup of tea and enjoy your experience perusing through the shop. Custom orders are welcomed.

Most of my work is now made to order, please allow 2-5 additional days in waiting for your item, as the resin needs time to set (hard-cure) before being shipped out. I use a polymer resin, in which the duration of time for hard-cure stage depends on humidity and temperature.

Payment

-I do not charge any sales tax for any items in my shop.
-Cheques/checks or money orders are expected within 9 business days after initial transaction. I will ship upon the day of receiving payment.
-Lack of payment within time frame may result in a cancellation of sale, or at least if anything, will result in delaying of shipment.
-If under certain circumstances you may need additional time to send payment, please notify me.
-There is no additional fee for custom orders.

Shipping

-Shipping is FREE within CANADA (unless you want insurance on your item(s)). Your order will be shipped by Regular Parcel (if within Canada: 2-9 days for urban areas & up to 12 days for rural areas) & will be shipped in a protected postage envelope or box if ordering multiple items. *PLEASE NOTE: There is NO TRACKING NUMBER with this method of shipping. If you need faster method of shipment or require a tracking number, please inform me before making your order, and I will get back to you on what the shipping cost would be and add it to your item, before I can process payment.

-For US customers: I ship Small Packet Air, which usually ships in 7-9 business days.
*PLEASE NOTE: I try to keep shipping costs down, so this method of shipment from Canada does NOT include a TRACKING NUMBER, If you wish to have one, I will have to charge you the additional shipping amount that includes it.

-For INTERNATIONAL customers: I ship Small Packet Air International. Shipping time varies depending on country. For Europe, you can expect 1-2 wks.
***For AUSTRALIA: THE longest shipping time is expected by normal mail, as it the furthest on the globe from my location. Australian customers can expect up to 3 weeks.
**To keep shipping costs down (especially with international), I choose the most economic shipping method, which DOES NOT include a TRACKING NUMBER.

********************************************************************************************

*For customers in CANADA & the US: Insurance is NOT automatically covered. Before making payment, please specify if you want to purchase insurance. I will automatically cover insurance on orders $100.00 and up.

*For INTERNATIONAL customers: Insurance IS automatically covered for orders up to $100.00. If you would like to purchase insurance for orders exceeding the coverage limit by Canada Post, please let me know, and I will inform you of your options through CP, or by Courier.

GOT QUESTIONS? PLEASE don't hesitate to ask me!

Refunds and Exchanges

After 7 days once the customer has received their purchase and is not satisfied, if it is something that can't be resolved (meaning something I cannot fix and is out of my control) I will refund you the full price of the item, or PREFERABLY, give an exchange. For exchanges, insurance on shipping as well as Express post is non-refundable.

* For CUSTOM ORDERS (not to be confused with 'made-to-order' - meaning, a design that is entirely tailored by request of customer, and isn't normally listed in my shop) , I will give refunds only. Note that there would have to be a very legitimate reason to do so, as I take pain-staking effort to make sure every detail and desire of the client's request is realized.

-I am confident that the work should prove quality and durable, but for any chance that there would be a fluke in the product, I will be glad to exchange your purchase with a similar or as close to the original as possible (shipping included).

***IMPORTANT: Under circumstances that are out of my control, such as your item getting damaged during shipment or lost in the mail, I will exchange or re-make it to as close as the original as possible. (shipping unfortunately would NOT be included) - (This is also applicable to Canadian customers)

Additional Policies and FAQs

*For earrings:

If you are sensitive to certain metals, I can certainly switch-up the findings I use with another that will be less irritant to your skin. I use mostly surgical steel for the earring wires, which most people even with sensitive skin can wear but I can replace with sterling silver-plate, or other precious metal. *If this be the case, please convo me before making your order, as there will be an additional charge for replacing with precious metal findings.
(*Note: There may be a longer waiting time for your item as well, as I usually don't stock precious metal findings). Items that I would need to switch up the findings with would be listed as a CUSTOM ORDER.

Custom orders:

If you order something personalized, I usually only customize the actual image, not materials, unless specified (ex: if you want a customized pair of earrings with additional decorative charms or specific gemstone(s), bead styles, etc. not listed in a reference picture that I do not have in stock then know that your waiting time for your order will be longer (depending on the order and what I'd need to order on my end).
For basic custom orders (custom image only) you can expect your order to be ready for shipment in 4-7 days for epoxy poured jewelry. For mobiles - approx. 2-3 weeks.
Please convo me for a quote on price and time frame for custom artworks on paper.

****Note to all customers*****

The nature of handmade watercolor miniature jewelry and wearables is delicate. While I strive to make each piece durable and quality, it is still advised that utmost care and delicate handling and storage be made for each piece that comes into ownership of the client, once they receive their order.

Care instructions for epoxy coated/resin filled jewelry:

Do not submerge in water or wear jewelry in shower. *For jewelry that has a resin filling, please store properly when not wearing so as to not scratch the resin surface. Resin is pretty durable but will wear and scratch over time like any smooth, glassy surface. Clean with a dry, clean cloth or lightly dampened cloth if item gets soiled. From time to time, you can refreshen the shine of the resin surface by lightly and quickly swiping the surface with 70% rubbing alcohol. You might want to buff-out any 'beading' that might collect on the surface due to such quick evaporation with a soft cloth.

*** IMPORTANT ***
I use raw brass a lot for my work so please be advised that any pieces that aren't already prematurely antiqued for effect ( using liver of sulfur), the raw brass will eventually patina over time. You can keep the antiqued look of the patina or clean with a brass jewelry polish to restore the shiny gold appearance.

Resin jewelry is hand-poured and tiny bubbles tend to form on the surface which usually off-gas during the curing process. Because of the nature of these being handmade, there may be the occasional air bubble(s) from time to time (though
it is not often that it is anything problematic or noticeable). Please allow for these minor discrepancies; it is the nature of handmade and adds character. If there is any discrepancy you should know about, you can be sure it will be already mentioned in the description and at a discounted price ahead of time. Anything where the bubbles are distracting or very noticeable, I usually always list these items as 'seconds', and are usually half-off the regular list price.

Thank you for your time reading through.
