Note about the symbol on one of our nine-pointed star ornaments and on one of our pendants, which is called the Ringstone symbol (explanation is from Wikipedia):

The ringstone symbol was designed by `Abdu'l-Bahá, Bahá'u'lláh's son and successor, of the Baha’I Faith, and as its name implies, is the most common symbol found on rings worn by Bahá'ís, but it is also used on necklaces, book covers, and paintings.

It consists of two stars (haykal) interspersed with a stylized Bahá’. The lower line is said to represent humanity and the world of creation, the upper line the world of God, and the middle line represents the special station of Manifestation of God and the world of revelation; the vertical line is the Primal Will or Holy Spirit proceeding from God through the Manifestations to humanity.[15] The position of Manifestation of God in this symbol is said to be the linking point to God. The two stars or haykals represent Bahá'u'lláh and the Báb.[16]

Finding our Solace, Inspiration and Sweet Relief

After working and managing for 18 years at an organic farm, my husband, Mike and I decided to venture into our own organic farming business on our 40 acres of woods along the Saco River in Steep Falls, Maine in 2014. We grow organic produce, some small fruit, mushrooms, herbs and dye plants, as well as raise chickens for eggs and organic turkeys. We are involved in a summer and a winter farmers' market, as well as sell produce and seedling shares.

To supplement our farming income, we're putting our craft and woodworking skills to use and creating products that we sell here on Etsy and at local craft fairs. In the future we plan to dye our fiber products with our dye plants, create crafts with our chicken feathers, expand our woodworking products, and prepare preserves.

We love our woods, our wildflowers, the river, the scenery, the habitat, the changing seasons, and are doing our best to live with these gifts in a balanced life while giving thanks for these blessings. Please visit if you're in the area, and partake in this beauty which is our inspiration for our work and our solace - Sweet Relief.

Worked 18 years on an organic farm, and now growing our own organic produce, herbs, and dye plants. We homestead here on our 40 acres, so I make many homemade crafts for gifts and now produce them for sale.

  • Mike Foster

    Creator, Owner

Mike is a woodworker by trade, so when he's not building structures for the farm or doing the tractor work, he's in the shop creating wood craft projects and promotional items, like our wonderful sign.
