When a knitter just couldn't get enough sheep-y goodness.

My love affair with knitting began about 8 years ago and it has slowly-but-surely expanded into all corners of my life. I now spin my own yarn, maintain an active blog, and design knitwear patterns... but that wasn't enough! At a knitting convention (yes, those exist!) I tried a lotion bar for the first time and was hooked. Plagued with perpetually dry hands, I was a lotion junky and the solid bars soothed my skin like no liquid lotion ever had.

However, those bars just weren't quite right. I wanted the bar to feel softer in my hands, I wanted it to glide on more smoothly, and I wanted control over the intensity of fragrance. Most importantly, I wanted the bars to contain lanolin, the super-moisturizing compound found in sheep's wool (because a knitter can never get enough). Clearly, I had to try making some myself! After numerous trials and rounds of product testing with the help of volunteers through my blog, I came up with a recipe that I think is just right. I hope you think so, too!

I believe strongly in getting back-to-basics when it comes to items that we use in our everyday lives -- basically, if it can be made by hand with higher-quality ingredients and safer practices, then I think it should be! Handmade body care products are both luxurious and practical. They contain nothing but skin-softening and nourishing ingredients--no petroleum byproducts, no fillers. Try some today and you'll never go back to the store-bought stuff.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Returns and exchange details
As the products I sell are personal beauty items, I cannot accept returns of lotion bars. I can accept returns of lip balms or soap bars if their plastic seals remain intact. For these products, I will refund the purchase price, less the cost of shipping, handling, and fees. Please send me a message and I'll be happy to do whatever I can to make things right!
Payment
I gladly accept payment through Etsy Direct Checkout (debit or credit cards), Paypal, or Etsy Gift Cards.

I am required by law to collect 7% sales tax from Rhode Island residents.
Shipping
I currently ship orders once a week on Monday mornings. All orders under 16 oz ship First Class with delivery confirmation through the US Postal Service for domestic shipping within the US. International orders will be shipped First Class International. All of my orders are shipped in eco-friendly, biodegradable, and recyclable padded mailers.

If you are ordering more than 16 oz of product (approximately 7 lotion bars) I will ship Priority Mail. If you'd like to request Priority Mail or expedited shipping options, just send me a message and we'll work out the details.
