I've always been a maker. Growing up in a small town in Illinois, I filled my days with project after project. I decorated a stash of my mom's paper to make "stationary" to sell to my friends and neighbors when I was 8 years old. In junior high, I made scrunchies (it was the 90s) for each girl on my softball team. I made my own dolls and blankets and clothing and dreamed of the day when maybe, just maybe, I could make this kind of work into a career.

In 2011, after leaving my full-time editorial job to be home with my new baby, I listed my first item (a handmade bib and burp cloth set based on the ones I'd made for my daughter) on ETSY. I listed it late at night after everyone had gone to bed. In the morning, I dragged my husband to the computer to show him what I'd done, but I couldn't find my listing! That's because it had sold in less than an hour. I knew then that I was on to something, and the dream life of mine started to become a reality.

Since then, we've grown to a company of 6 women. I head up the design and have a hand in much of the sewing, I am so lucky to I have surrounded myself with 5 talented and dedicated women who sew and cut and package and have helped my company grow in leaps and bounds.

I love creating unique handmade gifts & apparel for babies. Not only is the creative side of me challenged and engaged each day, but it also makes me so happy to think that we take a small part in helping families celebrate some of the most important moments in their lives. And little by little, my dream of running a creative business has come true.
