Creative Mama
I have always enjoyed being artistic and crafty. As a very young girl I made scented pillows for drawers and painted rocks and sold them on the corner. As a teenager I sketched and drew in my free time. As a newlywed I sewed curtains, pillows, painted, and did DIY along with my husband to enhance our home. As a young mother I made the bedding for my daughter's baby room and then her big girl room. And so it continued...over the years I have done countless painting, DIY, and sewing projects for our home. We just bought house #5 and I am on a home decor/DIY journey again to make our house a home. I LOVE to be creative!
I opened my Etsy shop in March 2011 and have had a wonderful time designing, creating, and sewing. Sweetbug Studio allows me to create special handcrafted items for others to enjoy, lets me indulge my passion for creativity, and provides the flexibility so that I have the time I need to care for my family and be "mom". As 2017 is a year full of change for our family I hope to balance being a mom and wife with home fixes, sewing, quilting (a new venture I really want to explore!), and continuing to make handmade goodies for your little ones.
