About

Greetings from my tiny studio . . .

**PARDON MY DUST - My shop is getting a BIG update for 2018! More templates, lower prices, and so much more. It may get a little confusing around here as I get things ready.**

I've been designing stationery for over 11 years. My love for DIY comes from when I was an in-house designer for Paper Source. When visiting the stores, I saw customers find lovely paper and envelopes, get inspired to DIY their invites, and then not know what to do next. At the time, I was also making the Word templates for Paper Source's blank labels. Somewhere along the line these two ideas merged together, and I realized I could design easy to use, expertly designed, printable templates.

I opened an etsy shop soon after, and here we are! I'm still an in-house creative director by day. My etsy shop is a little sleepier than it used to be, as hundreds of copy-cat shops have popped up over the years (can you believe I used to be the ONLY ONE?) but I'm still here, my own little one-woman show, everyday, answering convos and creating new designs.

I hope you enjoy my shop! I would love to hear your feedback, thoughts, and ideas for new products. Please don't hesitate to contact me directly at leslie [!at] swellandgrand.com.

Frequently asked questions

CAN I CHANGE THE ARTWORK COLORS?

Yes. Simply click on the artwork after opening it in Word or Pages and select a new "fill color." In Pages you can also drag and drop colors from the color menu onto the artwork.

WHAT PAPER & ENVELOPES DO YOU LIKE?

I love all the papers at papersource.com and envelopments.com!

CAN I CHANGE THE TEXT, ADD OR DELETE LINES?

Yes. You can add or delete as many lines of text as you see fit.

CAN I CHANGE THE SIZE?

Yes. Since the artwork is vector based, you can size the artwork and fonts up or down without any loss in quality.

You can also create a new document in any size that you would like an copy and paste from my template into that size.

WHAT SOFTWARE CAN I USE TO EDIT THE TEMPLATES?

Refer to each listing for specific compatibility, but in general all of my templates are compatible with:

MAC: Apple Pages
PC: Microsoft Word (2008 or later)

WHY DO THE FONTS LOOK DIFFERENT?

You'll want to start by installing the free fonts included in the instructions. A default font will display if you do not have the particular font I used installed on your computer.

I only use basic fonts or free fonts in my designs, so you can rest assured your design will look just like the template if you download the fonts in the instructions.

DO YOU RECOMMEND A PRINTER?

I recommend printing at home, it's fastest, cheapest, and most home printers have excellent quality.

Printing at a printshop or online is possible, but every printer will have different requirements. A best practice is to obtain a word template from your printer with the layout they require, and then to copy/paste from my template into theirs. Save the file as a PDF before sending it to your printer.

HOW SHOULD I TRIM MY INVITATIONS?

If it is the trimming that you find daunting, we are currently updating our listings to be Everly Paper compatible!

Everly Paper is brand new line of no-trim card stock. Simply print on your home inkjet printer and quickly "pop" out your cards with smooth edges.

Check out the full line of card stocks in the Print & Poste Etsy Shop at

CAN I SELL PRINTS OF YOUR DESIGNS?

My templates are for PERSONAL USE ONLY. You can not download them and then sell printed versions to third parties. Please contact me for commercial use licensing fees. (whew! glad I got that legal mumbo jumbo out of my system!)

WHAT ARE YOUR TERMS OF USE?

By purchasing or downloading my products you agree to the terms of use. You can find them on my site here: http://www.swellandgrand.com/pages/terms-of-use
