This weekends aim is to get all my triangle necklaces in to my Etsy store. I have great tunes playing and the heater on. At least with the rainy weather it's a great weekend to stay indoors!
Have I ever mentioned that another added bonus of my necklaces is they make smile - inducing, incredible reflections on sunny days?
A hard days work on the torch melting these beautiful glass beads.
The variety of colours is extraordinary.

About

My journey through the world of glass

Hi! I’m Hayley and I am a glass artist based in Melbourne, Australia.

In the beginning I turned to glass to rescue me from a dull job and stimulate my creativity. I didn’t realise that it was the start of something big. Bigger and more important than I could even imagine.

I dabbled in leadlighting, glass fusing, slumping, bead making and flame-work, gaining little bits and pieces of knowledge. By using all these different techniques I have created jewellery that is so unique and different to anything else available.

I learnt and continue to learn from talented Melbourne artists and I also had the honor of learning at world-renowned Glass Museums in the USA, Venice and Canberra. I have participated in various workshops and classes to develop techniques in lead-lighting, fusing, slumping, bead making and flamework.

I now have an urge to spark creativity in others. I want to share the creativity process with you in the hope you too will enjoy seeing beauty and art all around.

Frequently asked questions

How will my purchase be sent to me?

I take much care with shipping my items. For jewellery: I use padded envelopes and wrap each item in either tissue paper or muslin/jute drawstring bag. Earrings are packaged in small kraft boxes. In the case of more than one pair of earrings being purchased, I will place 2-3 pairs in each box. Please indicate if your purchase is a gift and you would like either backing cards included or individual boxes.
For Glass supplies: items are bundled tightly with elastic bands and then wrapped in bubble wrap. I then post in a box or cardboard cylinder.

Orders will be sent via Australia Post. If you would prefer Express post please choose this option at checkout.

What if the postage is less than quoted?

The cost quoted is based on information provided by Australia Post. In the chance that postage is actually cheaper by more than $1 I will refund the difference and celebrate at saving you a little hard earned cash. Yay!

Is the glass fragile?

My glasswork is much stronger than you would expect. All items have been annealed in an electronically controlled kiln for ultimate strength.
All beads are solid glass and not blown/hollow.
I take care with packaging when shipping but please let me know ASAP if an item arrives broken.

I have sensitive skin, will I react to this jewellery?

If you suffer from allergies or sensitivities please read the materials used in the item description or contact me for further information, if needed.

I have chosen to use titanium posts for my studs as there is less chance of an allergic reaction than using stainless steel and silver plate.

My dangle earrings have quality sterling silver hooks.

When designing my beaded necklaces on cotton cord I wanted to create an allergy friendly necklace and I completely avoided any metals. The clasp at the neck is made from wood.
