Can't thank you enough. You shipped this quickly and I was able to complete a very important project. I am still cutting lots of "lil bees'. :-)

About

A Life Long Journey

Sewing is a part of me. As a little girl it was a part of everyday. It was always fun being at grandma's house there was sewing, quilting, making clothes and doll clothes, anything that brought creativity into my life.

My favorite thing was quilting by hand. Mom and grandma would make these beautiful quilt tops. Setting them up to quilt was an adventure in itself. It began by setting up 2 sawhorses. Then rolling the quilt onto a 2, 2X4's next the 2X4s were clamped onto sawhorses and pulled tight. Now it is time to quilt. We spent hours and days sitting around the quilt sewing, talking, laughing, and listening to all the family stories.

My journey through crafting also started as a little girl. Grandma, Great Grandma, and my mom would spent lots of time getting ready for the County Fair. It was quilting, sewing, making crafts, pies, pickles, everything for the yearly event. For a little girl it was an exciting time and a wonderful learning experience.

When I finally found the man of my dreams and married him 36 years ago my life turned to raising a family. We were an Air Force family with two little boys. We lived in base housing and barely had enough for the necessities of life. THis is where I came back to my life lessons from my childhood. I began making baby quilts, doll blankets, stuffed animals, primitive dolls, all kinds of things I could sew. I went from craft show to craft show as the internet was not around then. It was enough extra income to help support our home.

Kids grew up, I went to college became a teacher. Then I became a grandmother! I wanted to be home to take care of my grandson. So the newest thing around was scrapbooking. Oh my, I was in heaven, loved it. Then I found this thing called Ebay found I could sell my scrapbook pages on there. Made pretty good money and along came Etsy. Etsy was a dream from 2008 until 2010 I was able to stay at home to work.

As you can see from my sales here I had an obsession with scrapbooking and loved making things for others to preserve their families memories.

Which brings us up to today. After a few years where I got to work on a feature film as an animator and doing graphic design. I find myself back to sewing.

2015 changed my life forever. With a new diagnosis of Epilepsy I find that it is difficult to do some of the things I used to . So I found a way to work at home and still do something I love.

So here I am working at home sewing and I LOVE IT !
