Gorgeous delicate necklace, I love it.

Wonderful. I saved it to open for my birthday and couldn't be happier to be the proud owner of this beautiful necklace!

This is a beautifully designed and crafted, multi-media (pottery, glass, wood, metal, leather) necklace. The beads have a variety of colors, shapes, sizes, and textures that are arranged into a delightful piece of wearable art. Thank you, Lesley!
A Goddess for a Muse...
I've always loved and collected jewellery that has what I would call "personality' meaning it's been crafted by an individual and has it's own inspiration and back story. I am mostly self-taught apart from a couple of introductory courses in silver smithing and Precious Metal Clay. Many of my designs feature components that I make in a variety of media including bronze, etched metal, enameled copper and most recently ceramic. I draw inspiration from many things, nature, art, architecture and the beautiful area where I live near the south coast of England. Texture and colour are important for me as I love jewellery that's tactile and has movement.
I don't tend to do formal designs but work in a more organic fashion and because of this it's difficult to pin down a particular style to describe my jewellery - It's an eclectic mix that I hope reflects something of me as well as finding resonance with the person who buys and hopefully loves it
If you're wondering about the name of my shop...THEA was the Greek goddess of sight and the lights of the sky, as personified by her children Helios, Selene, and Eos - goddesses of the sun, moon and dawn. In addition to these natural wonders, Thea also had dominion over gems and precious metals and the light therein. That seemed to me like a good enough reason to have her as the muse for my jewellery business. The Avatar that I use for the shop is from a painting called Star of Heaven by Edward Robert Hughes.
I write blog called 'The Gossiping Goddess' where you can find out more about me and my work and I am also a contributor to 'Art Jewelry Elements' a blog dedicated all things handmade in the jewellery component word. Please do come and take a look:
