The Basics by CGP is de werkplaats van de kunstenaar en ambachtsman Cody Parks uit Oregon.

Cody heeft een bachelordiploma in schilderkunst van de Universiteit van Oregon. Voortbouwend op zijn achtergrond in de beeldende kunst combineert hij een modernistische benadering van compositie, kleur en vorm met klassieke houtbewerkingstechnieken om functionele objecten voor in huis te creëren.

Elk stuk is individueel met de hand vervaardigd en is een uniek exemplaar of onderdeel van een gelimiteerde, bewust ontworpen serie. Bepaalde ontwerpen kunnen op aanvraag worden nagemaakt of in grotere aantallen worden geproduceerd. Door de natuurlijke eigenschappen van het hout is geen enkel stuk ooit volledig identiek.

De studio staat ook open voor maatwerk en gezamenlijke projecten. Of u nu op zoek bent naar een opvallend object, een gecoördineerde set of iets dat is ontworpen rond een specifieke ruimte, functie, hoeveelheid of budget, Cody werkt rechtstreeks samen met klanten om objecten te ontwikkelen die aan hun wensen voldoen.

The Basics by CGP is the working studio of Oregon artist and craftsman Cody Parks.

Cody holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Oregon. Drawing from his background in fine art, he combines a modernist approach to composition, color, and form with classical woodworking techniques to create functional pieces for the home.

Each piece is individually handcrafted and created as a one-of-a-kind work or as part of a limited, intentionally designed set. Select designs can be recreated or produced in extended quantities upon request, with the natural character of the wood ensuring that no two pieces are ever entirely identical.

The studio also welcomes custom projects and collaborative builds. Whether you’re looking for a single statement piece, a coordinated set, or something designed around a specific space, function, quantity, or price point, Cody works directly with clients to develop pieces that fit their needs.
