Beautifully made. Enjoy using them. Thanks so much!
Everyone should have beautiful tools!
My passion is counted thread needlework. Sharing that passion with others through my own needlework, teaching, and creating beautiful needlework tools makes me happy.
I collect embroidery scissors and am constantly dropping and/or losing them, so I started making scissor fobs. Scissor fobs not only add a little bling to your scissors, they protect them too. If you drop your scissors you can damage the sharp points when they hit the floor. A scissor fob should be heavier than your scissor so that it lands first, thus protecting your scissors! Not to mention making them easier to find between the couch cushions.
A friend suggested that I make stitch markers for knitting and crochet and counting pins for cross stitch, needlepoint and other counted thread embroidery. Now I sell them to yarn and needlework shops, as well as to the stitching public via Etsy.
I love color and creating unique combinations for my fobs and other needlework accessories allows me to let my creative side wander to some pretty funky places sometimes. And it also allows customers to feel free to ask for styles and combos they may not see other places. I love custom work and enjoy working with stitchers and knitters and crocheters to create the bling they envision in their needlework tool sets.
I make all my scissor fobs, counting/marking pins, stitch markers, laying tools, stitch pickers, needle threaders, eyeglass leashes, and bookmarks in my own little 'bead cave', as my husband calls it. And sometimes I work in my pj's! What a wonderful life. I love glass and porcelain beads. But because I design primarily by color inspirations, I find that limiting myself to particular materials can make that process more difficult. So I also use beads made of metal, wood, acrylic. and bone, depending on how the design comes to me. The tassels are also made by me with embroidery floss.

I'm a retired software engineer with a passion for needlework. I turned my hobby into a business when I opened a needlework shop. When my husband retired, I sold my shop and we moved to the beach where we live with our two pugs, Otis and Lester.
