About

My passion is creating art.
I've been an artist all of my life creating some wonderful things for people to enjoy.
Not only woodworking, but fine art and murals. You're welcome to visit my other works at Timknepp.com.

From my wood shop, I create natural rustic wood products from fallen trees harvested by myself. TK Woodkraft cutting boards, serving boards, and sushi trays are handmade. Each one is unique and is selected for its natural beauty in the grain patterns, flaws, and live edges. Letting the wood tell me what to create, I treat the piece as art. The wood is harvested from fallen trees and no live trees are harmed. The fallen tree is planked out in various thickness selecting the best character of the tree and its unique form. The wood is then air dried five to twenty years and kiln dried before milling and finishing. TK Woodkraft products are structurally sound and will last years for your enjoyment.

The selection of wood includes Black Walnut, Cherry, Cherry Burl, Hickory, Persimmon, Virginia Red Cedar, Black Locust, Black Gum, Sassafras, Birch, Aspen, Eastern Hophornbeam, American Holly, and Virginia Yellow Pine. Products produced to date are coffee tables, counter tops, cutting boards, picture frames, boxes, iPod, iPad and cell phone stands. Also, knives of various types and styles.

You will receive your board already oiled and coated with a beeswax/mineral oil finish. The boards are smooth and pleasant to the touch. Cutting boards will eventually show cut marks and wear with normal household use, but will last for years with proper care. After use, wipe the board with a damp cloth. If necessary, you may wash with soap and hot water. Never submerse or leave your board in water. Store the board in a dry location. When the board begins to dull, wipe on a coat of mineral oil, let the oil soak in, and then wipe off the excess. Mineral oil is food safe and can be found in most drug stores. It won’t go rancid like olive oil or other vegetable oils. Wood is a natural material and can have slight cracking and warping due to climate conditions even with proper care.

Please review the images and sizes before you place your order. If you change your mind about a purchase within the first five days of receipt, you can return it for a replacement with similar characteristics and price. It must be returned in the same condition as originally sent with the same packaging and you agree to pay the shipping costs. I don't accept returns or cancellations.
