Welcome to UI Rehab.
That was the belief of our founder, Jerry Lasso, when he started UIRehab over 25 years ago as the culmination of a dream he envisioned for disabled people across the world. As a paraplegic himself, Jerry’s dream was to provide an uncompromising level of intensive and innovative individualized rehabilitation in a highly charged, positive environment of rehabilitation and recovery. Jerry founded UI Rehab as a place for hope – a place where the client is the center of the universe. At UI Rehab, we focus on Ability and provide the resources for our clients to chase their dreams and “Never say never.” The UI Rehab family has grown to include Universal Institute, Therapeutic Rehabilitation, TRCollections and TRU Design and Marketing.
At UiRehab, we do not teach our clients how to simply learn to live with their disabilities – we teach them how to function best in spite of them! It was Jerry’s mission to show the world that with enough motivation, hard work, and positive energy, anything is possible. It is our responsibility to carry on that legacy and instill his hope, determination and courage into every client that joins our family.
At TRCollections our primary goal is to provide therapeutic vocational training while completing a variety of fully functioning small business and e-commerce-oriented projects which allow our employees the opportunity to manage the day to day operations while focusing on the skills necessary to obtain outside employment.
Our talented client employees have created all of the amazing artwork in the various locations mentioned above. Purchasing goods from our shop not only builds confidence in our associates but supports a therapy program which is instrumental in so many people’s recovery.
