5 out of 5 starsMy wife loves the cubby. However, we intended to put hand blown glass into each cubby and the hanging hooks provided simply did not feel safe enough for all that glass. So I retrofitted the whole thing with a french cleat. It looks fantastic on the wall! My wife is super pleased.

Can you tell me a bit more about reclaimed wood?
As reclaimed wood is exposed to the elements and passage of time, rain breaks down smooth surfaces and sunlight bleaches crisp colors. Over time, wood structures lose their original purpose, exposing deep lines, coarseness, and faded pigments; all which create character impossible to reproduce in new wood. We then re-imagine and re-purpose those worn boards into one-of-a-kind cubbies etc. for your home or office.
We intentionally leave our reclaimed wood boards as natural as possible. It is normal to see a mix of minor split wood, various discolorations, an attached vine, a nail or staple, lightly twisted boards. We leave these extras on your cubby on purpose as some folks love “raw” while others clean/sand/stain away in DIY heaven!
