TaarapitaFELT's Shop Announcement

The most recent meteorite crash in Europe happened here, on the island of Saaremaa, about 2500 years ago.

Folk lore has it that Taara (Taarapita) ,the great pagan god of Saaremaa, arrived here on that memorable day..
As an ode to beauty, creation, love and memories
for our home, our earth, we reused the name of Taarapita.

All the felt creations are made by hand using natural handmade soap and pure estonian sheepswool.

The Estonian sheeps' wool has a beautiful variety of natural tones, ranging from whites cream, browns, greys, and black.

Its a joy to work with such subtle beauty!

Some coloured wool is used sparingly and is part of a phasing out process.
