My mom taught me to sew as a 10 and 11 year old and thankfully persisted despite many tears, frustration, and complaining on my part. Participating in 4-H definitely jump-started my love for the craft and now it is one of my favorite hobbies. I started learning how to embroider and applique on a small, home sewing machine in 2011 and have owned my commercial, 16 needle embroidery machine since 2014. She didn’t have a bird option displayed but was able to customize one for me and offered to go above and beyond to make the design I wanted. It shipped promptly and arrived in plenty of time for the party (even though my mom brain forgot to order until the last minute).
