TaddieBeeKnitting's Shop Announcement

Just like in your LYS, my yarns contain standard yardage amounts, are grouped together, and each hank includes a tag with fiber content, yardage, grams and the brand name of the sweater from which it was unraveled.

You can see the number of hanks in stock in the upper-right-hand corner of each listing.

My natural fiber yarns are prepared from high-end sweaters and will knit up beautifully at a fraction of the cost of new yarn.

I gently unravel each sweater, soak and wash the yarn in wool soap, and then hang unweighted to dry--a process that cleans, conditions, removes waves, and preserves the yarn's springiness.

Taddie Bee, the planet, and your wallet will thank you for choosing upcycled yarn!

~~ Hanks or balls? Experts say wool should be stored in hanks because this gentle, un-stretched form puts less stress on the fibers. If you're going to stash your wool for awhile, I recommend receiving it in hank form. If you're going to knit with it right away, request my free winding service at checkout.

~~ Designer Talitha Kuomi likes to support environmentalism. She designed the lovable mouse "Moses" using my upcycled yarns. I'm pleased to carry the Moses pattern in my shop and a few of her other lovely designs. We're also planning another project together! You can see all of her patterns at ~~

~~ I'm glad to be a contributor to Phat Fiber Samples Boxes! ~~
