Announcement   Welcome to Tahoe Jewelry and Art! My Turquoise, sterling and gold wedding jewelry is metalsmith handmade by me.

I shop for unusually beautiful and natural Turquoise cabs from my desert southwest local cab cutters and miners. I purchase recycled precious metals from a company who is a certified member of the Responsible Jewelry Council. That means the majority of the metals are recycled or from mines that adhere to responsible practices. I love what I do and am proud to be a craftsman working in the USA. I make original styles with attention to details. Making beauty out of simple materials is my passion. If you need a different size ring or custom project - it is all possible.

My Made in the USA brown Kraft jewelry boxes are 80% recycled paper content. Options to upgrade to finer gift boxes are available.

Most items ship for $3 - $4.50 First Class Mail with additional upgrade options at checkout for Priority Mail.

A piece of my art from my other shop - RiverLilyArt - has been purchased for the ETSY Collection in San Francisco. www.etsy.com/shop/RiverLilyArt?ref=si_shop

A sample review on a sterling silver cuff....."Just wanted to let you know my wife absolutely loved the bracelet! The fit was perfect and she couldn't say enough about the craftsmanship! She loves it!
Thanks for the great service too! I was so happy it made it in time for our anniversary.
Thanks" JD

I lovingly fabricated this ring of sterling shank and 14 K white gold bezel. It is set with a watery clear Pink Morganite. I can make it with Moissonite or Diamond as well and your choice of gold colored bezel, 14 or 18 K. Handmade - unique - beautiful.
Verdigris blue patina on well hammered and textured copper is made by fuming over a few days.
I bezel set these bunny rabbit coins creating the bezel with gallery wire and two sizes of plain Sterling silver wire each, soldering with much care, polishing and tumbling. Then they are set like a stone.

About

Working with fire and precious metals.

I started making jewelry as a child with a bead loom. When other kids wanted Barbies I just wanted to get started making my living creating beautiful things. That was my how I have always been, making with my mind and hands. So it is the natural thing that all my jewelry is made for you in an original and inspired way. I was also a rock hound from the start and still hike with my eyes searching the ground. Taking the torch in hand I anneal and forge my way blending natural stones and precious metals into wearable art.

If you appreciate the difference between a handmade mug and a commercial mug then you know what makes "artist made" jewelry special. I don't need to tell you more. You feel the distinction. The warmth of any handmade object adds quality to your life.

I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC with a major in Textile Design. After moving west I worked in Graphic Design, and as an Artist-in-Residence teaching Fine Art in the Reno area to children and at the Nevada Museum of Art to adults. Now my work is centered in my studio full time making jewelry. The work is always evolving with each new inspiration.

I have a second shop for some small artworks - RiverLilyArt/etsy. One piece has been purchased by Etsy and hangs in the corporate office in San Francisco. It is a mixed media weaving. Also see new things first at Instagram @artnanceart or #tahoejewelryandart.

Additional policies and FAQs
Do I ever have sales?

Most items are one of a kind and priced fairly without wiggle room for sales. When they are sold-they're gone. So if you love something don't hesitate to make that purchase. Free Shipping is untrue, as the Postal Services are in it to make money. I pay for shipping first to bring the materials to my store and ask a small amount to ship to you as close to USPS fees plus insurance for the value of each item as I can determine in advance. I don't add shipping into the initial price which is done by those advertising free shipping.

Your satisfaction is important to me. I love what I make and create it for you with joy. Thank you so much for buying American made in the USA. Our craftsmen and artists here work very hard to compete in a world market.

Care instructions

I sell full size Sunshine cloths that make a simple job of polishing silver. They are only 3.50.

If you live near salt air or a polluted city just keep sterling in a plastic bag. The easiest thing is to just wear it everyday and wash with natural soap and water. Of course you should never wear gold or silver jewelry in a swimming pool.
