Just downloaded the pattern looking for a shopping list. There is no mention of the size of the pad or the size of the pencils that can fit in this case. I plan to make the case, but had wanted to order personalized pencils so now have to make the case first, then measure to know what size pad and pencils to buy. Wish all the info had been made available upfront.

What a wonderful pattern! I had it made in about two hours from cutting to sewing. Very well written.

It is my pleasure to have you stop by the Take and Make Pattern Factory! I go by TakeandMake on Etsy because it is a rather long title!

I seem to go in seven directions at once. I am trying to focus my energy in my studio on patterns and art quilts at the moment. You will see other items come through my shop as different creative juices flow.

I am happy to be able to share my patterns for Montessori classrooms. There are always teachers out there that like to make things and to save money. Even if you are not a sewer there is bound to be some parent, volunteer or grandma in you classroom that would love to whip up a pattern for you. By having a pattern available you will not have to explain what the work is for or what colors need to be used. Its all in the directions.

All the patterns can be made by someone with basic sewing skills. Nothing fancy here (not yet!).

I was born a perfectionist so it is surprising that I enjoy making art quilts so much. I love that fact that they don't have to be perfect. I save that side of myself for teaching algebra. When I am making quilts or designing patterns time just whooshes by. I just live in the moment.

The latest series I am working on comes from these sketches that I keep drawing. They haunt me. I find myself writing at stoplights, waiting at swim lessons and when I'm trying to sleep. Just when I think I have drawn every possible rendition of an idea a new one comes up. That's the most awesome feeling. It's right up there with finishing a quilt. Such a high.

If you are into my patterns, pendants or quilts please do stop by again. I'm always pushing into a new direction with all of my passions.
