About

Tali's: A Story of Rememberance and Love

As a dog lover from early age there have been many dogs who have brought lessons of unconditional love, respect and happiness to my home. One in particular was Talisha, Tali for short. An adorable abandoned Chocolate lab female puppy who was taken in from birth.

She grew to be the most loving, kind, sickly, expensive and dependent dogs one could ever have. A few years back she developed cancer in both kidneys and was laid to rest. Dreams and memories have never left me and I knew there must be something I could do in her memory so I started making jewelry and decided that to provide others with the opportunities I had in developing this unique relationship, I could donate 10% of my net profit business to the local SPCA. In this small way, I have been able to keep Tali's memory alive and hopefully help out with other helpless animals. Currently, because I care for six dogs I have stopped donating to the SPCA but do still donate to Soi Dogs in Thailand.

Currently, my home has six (6) rescue dogs and they are a wonderful pack. Jake, a Border Collie, Crickett, a Rhodesian Ridge Back, Lizzie, a Black Labrador, Ginger, a White/Brown Basset, Harold, a Black Brown/White Basset and Charlie a Heinz 57 tiny dog who has all the others in line.

My hope is that this business will continue to grow and that I will encourage others to foster and maybe even adopt a dog who was left behind.

Welcome to Tali's

My hope is that you enjoy and appreciate my individuality and find something that you would be proud to wear or give as a gift.

As a retired school teacher I wanted to find something to honor my dog of 12 years who crossed the Rainbow Bridge almost seven years ago. She was a wonderful chocolate lab and was my most favorite dog. She even was allowed to go to school with me for several years! I currently have four other rescues who have forever homes but she has continued to pull on my heart strings like none other.

I struggled with what to call this hobby/business and finally decided on Tali short for Talisha and will always remember the unconditional love and companionship she gave me during her life.

Prior to my retirement from Education I had a millinery side business where I designed many original hat designs and ended up taking numerous millinery classes. Which then led to an interest in beads and the collecting of all sorts of unusual ones whether I had plans for them or not! I even tried to make beads out of tiny pine cones which wasn't very successful.

As I started to develop my style in jewelry I was encouraged to make it into a hobby business and so I did. One major challenge I've had is to stay with one area of jewelry making....now I've added Fascinators too! I think I will always be that type of individual who loves the challenge of designing my own "thing" whatever it turns out to be.

Enjoy my shop and hopefully be inspired to gift someone special or purchase something for yourself.
