Hands-down the best and finest bookbinder on Etsy. I'm a repeat customer and will continue to be one. I ordered a custom binding of a selection of works, and Tamburn produced another heirloom piece - excellent materials and quality construction. Look at this - doesn't it make you feel more sophisticated just looking at it?

This is an exquisite rendering of the four gospels in brilliant calligraphy and Celtic illumination. The major illuminations, though not as detailed as some originals such as Lindisfarne, The Book of Kells, or even the Scottish Book of Deer. I am more than pleased. And the price is quite reasonable. The shipment was surprisingly quicker than I had expected. The leather cover is simple and the embossing most fitting for the contents. I was surprised by the lack of a title, or publishing information. But I realize that it would be correct and in accord with the ancient works mentioned and similar. Tamburn Bindery is to be praised on this fine production. I do wish, however, that the parallel English translation of the Latin Vulgate could have been more recent than the KJV. Understandable nonetheless.
