What a cute little Tardis! I just love to check my gauge on this little guy. I think Doctor Who needs to add a spinning wheel to the Tardis next season!
Accessories for the Fiber Lover
It all started with a want for stitch markers. Not just any stitch markers-pretty beaded stitch markers. I looked all over my local area, searched Etsy, then thought, "Why don't I try to make some?" Well, I did. Some for me, some for friends, some just to make them.
I had so much fun that it sparked my curiosity as to what else I could make for myself. I have always loved the handmade bags in the yarn shops yet I always found myself wishing they had one feature or another. So I experimented with my sewing machine and a little bit of playful fabric. To my surprise all of my friends and knitting group fell in love and began asking if I would create more!
And thus Tangerine Designs was born!
I work from my small craft room in my home in St. Louis, MO. I also raise my two young girls as I work to create more fun bags! I cut and sew between CandyLand, My Little Ponies, story time, meals, tantrums, and of course spinning and knitting! I love using whimsical, fun fabrics that make everyone in my home smile. I also work to add the versatile details so my bags can hold knitting and stitch markers or babydolls and pencils. I draw lots of inspiration from the things I love in life from my kids to owls and nature to Dr. Who and Science Fiction. Knitters are fun and quirky, and I want everyone to be as excited by the WIPs they carry with them as their finished works!
So, it is with all of this in mind that I built my little shop to help inspire and bring smiles to knitters and non-knitters alike. I have just been having a fantastic time in my sewing room and wanted to share the joy with all of you.
I hope that you can find something to inspire you to smile even when the patterns get tough!
