Another piece of art from Tania. I cannot get over how different each of these flowers is. This five petal flower is a completely different shape and look from my other red, nine petal brooch. Tania goes out of her way to ensure that each flower reflects the brief she is given. She is an exceptional artist!🍁

A stunning, bespoke work of art from Tania, which I immediately wore. The glorious fabrics provided a wonderful counterpoint to the blue patterned dress I was wearing. Tania's origami boxes are precious collectables - such a gifted artisan! 🌟🌟🌟

My beautiful custom made brooch arrived beautifully presented in an origami box which I will treasure forever. Tania has been amazing to work with - the detail, care and artistry she brings to her pieces is inspiring. I immediately commissioned another piece. I cannot recommend her work and personalised approach more highly!

This Kanzashi silk fabric flower sold recently. It was packaged in a metallic print origami box. I have a similar fabric flower brooch, also packaged in this origami box pattern, in my shop. Or I can make an origami box of your pattern choice, for you!
I have listed a new Kanzashi flower brooch in my Etsy shop. It is the first of a new range of large fabric flower statement brooches by Tania Bishop Artisan.
This flower brooch has been receiving a lot of attention on Etsy in the past week which has been lovely to see.

Tania Bishop Artisan is where you can find a varied range of my hand made fashion, accessories, jewellery and art. I specialise in creating knit, print and eco-dyed textiles, fashion accessories and clothing.

I use quality yarn and fabric sourced from eco-friendly textile suppliers in Australia and worldwide. I source my vintage Japanese fabric from a local business with decades of experience trading in textiles from Japan. I also remake, reuse, recycle and reduce waste as much as possible with my products, production processes and packaging.

I am an Australian, living down south in Melbourne, Victoria. However, I'm a Darwin Girl, born up north in the tropics of Northern Territory, Australia. I love the vibrant colours and relaxed vibe of the tropics and find inspiration in the city style of Melbourne and the multicultural lifestyles of both cities.

I have a studio space at Ironside Studios in Kensington, Melbourne; giving me a physical space to explore my creativity. I love that I'm surrounded by other independent artists and designers as it provides me with a stimulating, supportive and creative work environment.

My studio is where I use my many hand operated knitting machines. My cosy couch is set up for hand knitting, crochet, hand shibori stitching, kanzashi flower making or doing some sketching and design development. My fabric cutting table, sewing machines, my yarn and other textile materials are also at hand to sample and experiment with developing new designs or art work. I even have space to handprint my own fabric.

I also work from home when I do my fabric dyeing; it's easier to set up my indigo vat and have natural dye pots on the go. I have a lush garden with my very own 80 year old wisteria vine to dye under. It's lovely to balance the week with working from my studio and also being able to create some of my textiles at home. I'm also enjoying having a community garden plot where I have more space to experiment with growing plants to dye with.

As well as making and creating, I love gardening, cycling, swimming, travelling, blogging, reading books, the outdoors and catching up with friends and family.
