Almost life in the country
We live on a mini ranch on the edge of Los Angeles, with three horses, Norman, Gandolf and Apple. We lost Cole Porter who you will see in some of our listings, a while ago. And we have two ranch dogs, Gino and Blake and a giant orange kitty named Dudley.
We love it here with the sounds of goats and chickens next door, horses clopping up and down the street in front of our home and an occasional private biplane overhead. We are growing lavender, rosemary, marjoram, oregano, thyme and rue and we have two trees that produce the cutest little yellow apples.
And we grow passion vines which attract 100s of butterflies each year. At night the stars start to come out and bats fly their floppy flight overhead in search of tasty bugs.
We love to collect all things vintage particularly very old, useful, and well used objects. If it is Victorian, Edwardian, or rustic Country we love it! It just seems right to share, so everything we offer here is something we would keep, already have and use ourselves.
We also have upcycled horseshoes, cork trivets and the occasional handmade piece in our shop as well.

Additional policies and FAQs
Foxing is a term describing the age-related spots and browning seen on vintage paper documents such as books, postage stamps, certificates, and so forth. The name may derive from the fox-like reddish-brown color of the stains, or the rust chemical ferric oxide which may be involved. Paper so affected is said to be "foxed."
Foxing does not affect the actual integrity of the paper. Vintage books may have foxing, but this does not affect the quality and is not the same as mold. Mold is grey and has a fuzzy texture and will affect the quality of the paper.
