Acero-cero, bo-bero, Banana-fana fo-fero, Fee-fy-mo-mero. Acero! Holy sheet and shut the front door! T-Dubs is straight killin' it in with this tumbler sportin' wicked acero glaze action! Great form? Word! Great glaze? Double word! Everything packaged carefully and shipped quickly to my doorstep? Word cubed! But seriously, folks. Tara Wilson makes truly beautiful work. I love this tumbler and am proud to say that it is now a part of my ever-growing collection of ceramic wares. Thank you for making awesome work, Tara! ;-)

I have been on a Tara Wilson binge lately, scooping up four pots by her from galleries and here. I was taken by this tumbler because it not only echos her voluptuous shapes but it adds some edginess with the yohen effect of ash from the woodfiring. This contrast between serenity of shape/feel and the evident violence/turmoil of the fire is what really knocks me out here. That acero glaze is something else! well done!

Montana City potter

I've been making pottery since high school in the early 90's. After studying ceramics in college at The University of Tennessee for undergrad and The University of Florida for graduate school I moved to Montana for a residency at The Archie Bray Foundation. I fell in love with Montana and decided to set up my studio here after finishing at the Bray in 2007. My studio is located in Montana City just a few miles south of Helena. All of my work is woodfired in either the train kiln, built in 2009, or the catenary arch wood soda kiln, built in the winter of 2013.
