TartanHearts Jewelry came together in early 2012, based on a desire to create jewelry that couldn't be found anywhere else. It started with the Robert Burns pin, to be worn to Burns Night celebrations. With leftover supplies, the first nail polish jewelry was created, using only some of Jess's ever-expanding collection of nail polishes. Sometimes you just aren't satisfied wearing one polish at a time!

One conversation on twitter later, and the shop was opened. All Jess needed to hear was that people were interested!

TartanHearts gives you a way to show what you love even when you aren't doing it or can't do it. Wear your tartan or your favorite tartan as a necklace even when you can't get on stage and dance with it as your kilt! Wear your favorite nail polish as a ring because you can't always wear it every day on your nails.

Constantly working to improve the quality of the products, Jess wears them to test durability and wear. This resulted in the phasing-out of the ball chain necklaces, which are still in some of the pictures. The move was made to regular chains and then handmade adjustable chains (which is what makes custom chain lengths so easy! They're made custom anyway). In the future, Jess looks to add a wider variety of settings, cabochon sizes and shapes, and metal colors. Some one-of-a-kind pieces will be coming to the shop very soon!
