About

Handmade furniture, paintings, photos, and jewelry from an award-winning Vermont couple. www.TaylorArts.com

Welcome! We're a husband-and-wife team of artists. We've made our living making art for two decades. Over the years we've been featured in publications such as Southern Living, Mississippi Magazine, Delta Magazine, USAToday, Conde Nast Traveler, The Miami Herald, The 100 Best Small Towns in America, and lots more. Our artist community of Taylor won the Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts. We have recently moved from Mississippi to Vermont, where we are happily working as Artists-In-Residence at Green Mountain College in Poultney.
Marc spent his childhood summers in Alligator, Mississippi, where he was inspired by the rustic-but-elegant, tenant-house furniture made from whatever material farmers had at hand. His signature style stems from letting the reclaimed wood determine what it’ll become: a bed, bench, dining table, side table, bookshelf, cabinet, desk, you name it. High profile clients from NFL football players to movie stars to universities have commissioned furniture from him. He built a dining table for a Southern Living Idea House that appeared on the magazine cover. He’s been featured on television shows such as HGTV and in numerous publications. He works with clients to match his furniture to their taste and decor. To talk to Marc about custom making a piece call 662-832-7958, email info [!at] taylorarts.com, or www.TaylorArts.com.
Christine has been a professional writer, editor, and self-taught artist for more than 30 years. She wrote The Book of Love and published in Hallmark Books, Rodale, US Airway's Attache, Southwest's Spirit, The Old Farmer's Almanac, Yankee, The Travel Guide to New England, and more. After years of shooting in black and white, she’s now recognized for her vibrant colors in acrylics. She’s been commissioned by magazines and collected by art lovers across the U.S. and abroad. Southern Living showcased her work in an Idea House and on their magazine cover. She also makes silver jewelry and designed a line of "Delta River" pieces for Delta Magazine. She now shows at Feick Arts Center in Poultney, Vermont, BEE Galleries in New Orleans’ French Quarter, and online.
