About

I Can't Stop and I Can't Keep It All!

I began jewelery making as a hobby, but I soon became overwhelmed by the amount of jewelry that I was amassing. I realized that I needed to do more than just to give it away to friends and family. After hearing so much about Etsy, I decided to give it a try. I've met so many wonderful people here and have been pretty successful at finding new homes for my rocks and jewelry. I think I've made a home here. :)

From a very early age I have dabbled in every imaginable creative form, but wire wrapping wire art jewelry is the one medium that has continued to hold my interest and passion. I love the immediacy of it and the seemingly endless variety of technique. There is always something new to do and learn.

I used to paint a lot and I think it helped me develop an eye for good stones. I'm really picky about my rocks. I spend a lot of time looking for just the right stone. I'm happy to offer my clients a beautiful, exciting variety of materials from the rare and unusual to the colorful or demure.

I know it sounds strange, but to me, every rock has a story to tell or a vision of what it wants to be. In the lapidary world, we say we listen to the stone. That's what I do. I try to work with the stone to bring out its natural beauty. My style evolved into a minimalist form so as not to detract from the stone, but to complement it- like make up, I guess. :)

After buying cabochons for about 15 years, it dawned on me that I should be cutting my own stones. So, like most rock addicts, I learned how to cut my own cabs. (Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?) Now, I am not limited by what I can buy from others. I spend a lot of very fun and rewarding time sourcing just the right slabs and rocks to cut into cabochons.

I hope this gave you a little more insight into what I do and why. If you have any questions, I am just a convo away. I'd love to hear from you. :)
