Announcement   Yes! I teach workshops. I'll teach at Shipwreck Beads in May and June: www.shipwreckbeads.com and recently taught at Bedecked and Beadazzled in Maryland: http://www.notyourgrandmothersneedlepoint.com/2017/02/the-boing-method.html
People trust me to get them out of the box. My "On Beyond Zebra" approach allows you to develop your own voice as a bead artist. Contact me or ask your local craft store to bring me to you.

I create art made of woven glass beads and found materials, and I am a magnet for unique, drippingly gorgeous, wild, odd vintage and newer beads. I have been exhibiting and teaching in this medium globally since the latee 1990s.

My influences are global. Prayer beads for the three major religions from Soviet-era Czechoslovakia, Venetian glass traded throughout the 55 countries in Africa, estate beads from a little old lady a few miles away; all are filled with mute histories. Add your own story to the layers of narrative in these beads.

About

The great, the rad and the beautiful, mostly beads.

I began weaving beads in the early 1990s and have used this medium to channel my love of the irreverent and the surreal. Slowly but surely I "weaned" myself off of hourly wage work, exhibiting, teaching and doing trunk shows.

My friend Marcie urged me to open this shop, and I'm happy I did. I love a line of work that gives me contact with creative people from all over the Earth, allows me to share my fascination with gorgeous vintage beads, clothing (at my other shop, www.noneblackervintage.etsy.com ) and quirky ephemera, and challenges me to hone my photographic and writing skills.

Your purchases enable me to spend more time making art. Here's to your creativity and mine!
