Full-time, I'm an educator. I needed something to help me unwind after work and during breaks, but I needed something more than a bag of chips and a bingeable show to stream. I found that I loved the creative outlet that crafting brought to me - it helped me de-stress but still gave me that rewarding feeling that I was producing something beautiful that others may enjoy. Thus, Terraceous Design was born.
Not only do I love creating new designs, but I also have a passion for reusing items that others might overlook or simply throw away. I use wrapping paper from birthday gifts and pieces of thank you cards to give a splash of mixed media color. I cut and sand wine corks from my dad's homemade fruit wines to make lightweight and rustic earrings. I press clay into household items -flowerpots, utensils, cookie cutters, for a unique texture.
