I'm a one mom operation.

I fell in love with my Mom's silver spoon rings when I was a little girl and several years ago I decided I wanted to learn how to make them. Now I spend time chasing down estate sales and yard sales as well as constantly searching Etsy and Ebay for unique, beautiful spoons that will make the perfect ring. The hunt is fun, and seeing how they come out when I'm finished is exciting!

If there is a specific pattern you would like to have turned into a ring, or if you have silver of your own that you'd like to have repurposed, just hit me up with the Custom Order button and we will make it happen! I do rings exclusively with sterling silver, but I will create pendants or keychains for you from silverplate if you have that. Message me here on Etsy and we will work it out.

Thanks and happy shopping!

I have always loved the spoon rings my Mom wore, from as far back as I can remember. Spoon rings/ jewelry made from silverware were a nearly lost art but has seen a revival in recent years. I put a lot of time and love into each piece that I make.

Frequently asked questions
Why don’t you make rings from silverplate?

I started out making rings from both sterling and silverplate and what I have found is that silverplate doesn’t tolerate the process well. Either the propane torch will make the plate bubble, or bending the metal will make it crack and flake off. I do have a few silverplate rings in the shop, but they are the exceptions and I have many more failures on my desk than successes. Sterling silver is ideal for bending into heirloom rings that last.

What’s the difference between sterling silver and silverplate?

Sterling is essentially nearly pure silver. It is solid and workable. Silverplate is a very thin coating of silver, kind of like aluminum foil, over a base metal of another kind. It is finicky and delicate to work with.

Do you ship outside of the United States?

The short answer is no. The long answer is that the shipping regulations in other countries (EU especially) make it very difficult and expensive for Etsy sellers and I would rather not do it.

Sizing details

Please order the ring size you need. If buying as a gift, just try to get a ballpark size and your friend should be able to adjust it up or down a bit to fit. Or be sneaky and let her try on one of your rings! 😁

Custom and personalized orders

I accept custom orders! All custom work must be prepaid.

Examples of custom orders are:

1. Turning a piece (one or more) of your silver flatware into jewelry. In this case, you will ship the spoon to me and I will create the piece and ship it back to you.

2. You request a piece (one or more) to be made from a particular pattern which you don’t own. In this case, I will buy the spoon(s) or fork(s) in the pattern you requested and create your piece.

In either case, I will be in touch throughout the process to iron out specific details.

3. You request a specific phrase to be stamped on one or more keychain spoon tags, or a monogram or name to be engraved on a piece.
