I am over the moon happy with this ring. Fortunately, the size was just right and the stone is said to be one that heralds new beginnings, refreshes the soul and enables one see beauty in all that one beholds. I feel grounded the moment I put it on in the morning. Thank you so much!!

About

Synchronicity to the rescue!

Synchronicity led me to my first art metal class when I was 14 and it never occurred to me until I was in my forties that maybe this is what I'm supposed to do. I guess I'm a slow learner in that regard. Through several unfulfilling jobs and raising our son, my sanity was held together by making jewelry. I had a little red tool box that held all my tools and went with me from city to city. They were my one constant. My husband was my anchor.

Fast forward.... my son was in his late teens and I needed a major change. I had been taking hobby classes and felt I needed more education. Synchronicity to the rescue again! I was walking by the window of the local rock shop and a beautiful piece of Lapis caught my eye so I went in to look at it. Right next to the Lapis was a brochure for a school that taught goldsmithing at the professional level, just 30 minutes from my home! That was exactly what I needed when I needed it. So I went for the get-to-know-me tour, enrolled, worked my butt off to graduate, got hired to work there at the academy after graduation, worked for five years and then struck out on my own when I felt my time there was over. Whew!

I started my Etsy shop shortly after. In 2009, after my husband Tom retired, we made the move to sunny New Mexico. They don't call this the Land of Enchantment for nothing! A constant source of inspiration is just outside my door. The never ending skies, amazing sunsets, the Sandia Mountains in the distance, the desert and the arroyo are always changing and influencing my designs. Some of my jewelry designs were inspired by the aftermath of incredible thunder storms and changes to the environment here. I dream of jewelry designs. Who wouldn't?

I currently belong to an artists co-op gallery, sell my jewelry in studio tours and at larger art fairs besides my Etsy store.

I was born in Wisconsin, which is an awesome state if you like snow, humidity, long winters and mosquitoes. It is beautiful and I'd still be there but I need SUN, so I and my husband moved to enchanting New Mexico in 2009.

Thanks for visiting! I take pride in the quality of my craftsmanship and attention to detail. I choose the gems & stones I work with carefully. Some of the beautiful stones I work with are cut by my husband or friends, so I package them carefully to arrive in good condition. I enjoy making them and hope you enjoy them as well.
